About the Role:
Responsible for the review, analysis, and evaluation of credit data for commercial loans. This is an entry level, learning/development role.
Responsible for collection of financial information and conducting analysis by generating, running, and utilizing system-generated reports.
Works with clients and Commercial Relationship Managers to analyze loan needs and options available to meet clients' financial goals.
Spreads financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets and/or software programs for analysis.
Analyzes Accounts Receivable, Inventory and other collateral information to determine adequate collateral coverage for Asset Based loans.
Analyzes financial data related to new and renewal commercial loan requests, including lines of credit, asset-based lines, equipment financing loans and/or commercial real estate loans.
Conducts credit investigations and prepares credit approval reports and summarizes credit.
Monitors existing loans to ensure complete conformity with terms.
Presents facts and offers opinions to Commercial Relationship Managers concerning applicant's credit worthiness.
Complies with all Federal, State, and local laws/regulations as applicable.
Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external clients.
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

About You:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant field or equivalent work experience. Must have completed basic accounting class(es) acquired through an accredited university or college. Required.
Less than 1 years of relevant credit analysis, underwriting experience, commercial or consumer lending experience. Required.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Basic understanding of banking and credit administration environments
Basic credit and credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis experience.
Basic knowledge of credit policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
Basic understanding of personal and business financial statements and tax returns.
Basic knowledge of loan documentation and collateral perfection.
Ability to learn loan origination, financial spreading, and other banking software.

ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst II to help grow our Commercial Lending Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. The Commercial Credit Analyst II will complete financial analysis for floorplan lines, floorplan buyouts and other commercial lending, including real estate and revolving lines of credit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Underwriting commercial loan requests for new and existing relationships by analyzing the financial condition utilizing financial statements, tax returns, CPA statements, bank statements, and other necessary documentation
Cash flow analysis and pro forma forecasting and scaling
Full understanding of entity legal ownership structure and ability to provide clear, concise explanation of them
Ensure appropriate security instruments are recommended based on risk profile and ownership structure
Present recommendation, details and financial analysis to the appropriate authority level
Ownership of UCC process (filing, search and notification) to ensure properly perfected
Timely communication to stakeholders (Dealer, Manufacturer, Sales and Management) through the process
Obtain answers to any questions regarding financials, credit line requests, structure, and other relevant factors
Maintain a stakeholder focus throughout the underwriting process, exceeding service level commitments
Prepare legal documents and follow up to ensure necessary documentation is received
Final review of loan documentation and audit prior to loan funding
Periodic account reviews and maintenance
Support the development of junior analysts by sharing knowledge, answering questions, and modeling effective credit analysis techniques

Underwrites new and renewal Middle Market credit requests comprised of working capital lines of credit, asset-based lines of credit, commercial real estate loans (Owner Occupied and Investor) and equipment financing; most often from moderate-to-complex enterprises with revenues greater than $5 million. Collaborates with Client Solutions Managers ("CSMs") and Relationship Managers to accurately present findings, including business rationale and risk mitigations, in order to obtain credit approval and meet customer needs.
Analyze business, industry, financial data and other supporting credit information concerning an applicant's credit request; identifies key business and financial risks that may impact the repayment prospects by the borrower; derives conclusions supporting the credit recommendation based on documented facts and/or sound judgement.
Prepare timely, concise and accurate credit recommendations, with limited supervision or revision. Includes: (1) quantitative components within the underwriting narrative documenting the credit analysis; (2) accurate use of risk rating scoring models (aka Dual Risk Rating), both quantitative and qualitative rating elements, to ensure customers and loans are properly risk-rated; (3) accurate identification and mitigation of all exceptions to Bank tracked policies exceptions (TPE), tracked guidelines exceptions (TGE), procedures and compliance regulations; and (4) accurate loan coding consistent with nature of the borrowing relationship and terms of the credit(s).
Monitor borrower financial performance in line with commercial and/or real estate loan documents; spreads financial statement and/or ensures required financial statements are spread in accordance with Bank Guidelines and resulting covenant calculations are accurate, complete and adhere to approval conditions and loan documentation. Collaborates with CSM to ensure borrower notifications are sent and approvals are obtained to resolve any violations in a timely manner.
Partners with CSMs and Relationship Managers to offer insights into customer financial needs, including opportunities identified using Line of Business-approved relationship expansion tools. May also offer opinions related to a loan structure's effectiveness to mitigate risks, appropriate to prevailing competitive market environment and Bank risk tolerances.
Partners with CSMs and Relationship Managers in customer and prospect calls as appropriate. May shadow manage a portfolio with CSM as part of training and development, with Underwriting Manager and Market Director mutual approval.
May oversee the work of other commercial underwriters or credit analysts, including the timely review of credit reports prepared by other underwriters to ensure a high level of report quality prior to submission for approval; findings to be captured via a standardized Quality Control (QC) Checklist and used to provide guidance and training to underwriters.
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

About You:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience. Required
7-10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience or relevant lending experience. Required
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced credit and credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis experience; ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.
Demonstrated time management skills, reflecting the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering work product on time.
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.
