We are hiring a Security and Emergency Services (SES) Officer for our gated retirement community. The SES Officer is responsible for carrying out the Security and Emergency Services Programs, including Security, Emergency Medical Response, Safety/Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and Prevention/Outreach.
Compensation: $18.25 - 23 per hour

Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
Enforce all traffic and parking regulations.
Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions as outlined in the ERP Protocols and the EL Integrated Healthcare Model.
Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.
Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies. Completing thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system.

**Job Description**
The National Security Research Oversight (NSRO) office enables and oversees NREL's portfolio of national security work in accordance with the U.S Department of Energy and other governmental agencies requirements.
NREL is actively seeking an experienced Special Security Officer (SSO) or Contractor Special Security Officer to join the NSRO. This position will report to the NSRO Director and requires a self-motivated professional capable of managing and administering security programs for classified and proprietary operations. In collaboration with the NSRO Director and the Office of Laboratory Protection (OLP), you will lead day-to-day security operations for NSRO, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations and policies.
The selected applicant will support the NSRO and broader NREL NSRO members by:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for SCIF facilities, collateral programs, and other related NSRO related projects. Provide training and oversight to personnel to ensure adherence to security protocols
+ Establish and maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, NREL managers, employees, and contractors ensure compliance with National Policy
+ Collaborate with OLP to design, implement, and refine security programs, policies, and procedures for safeguarding of classified and proprietary materials
+ Act as a security specialist for SCIF-related activities including document control, physical security (PHYSEC), information assurance (IA), personnel security (PERSEC), operational security (OPSEC), and possibly communication security (COMSEC)
+ In coordination with OLP draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans for SCIF and collateral limited areas
+ Investigate security violations, prepare reports and recommend preventative and corrective measures
+ Oversee the receipt, processing, distribution, and tracking of classified documentation, to include physical and electronic as required per policy
+ Implement and manage visitor control procedures in compliance with local and national security policy

THE POSITION
The Security Officer position will provide security and safety of critical sites, employees, vendors, visitors, and overall, the general public. We are looking for Security Officers to fill full-time, part-time, and flex positions for day shift, night shift, swing shift, and graveyard shift positions - you must have weekend availability.
