Verify the identification and eligibility of all personnel entering a BCBSKS building. Escort unauthorized personnel out of the buildings and off company property. Stand by if requested when an employee is involuntarily terminated. Patrol parking lots to provide safety for employees, insured's, visitors and property. Check company buildings and property after regular work hours for security and possible maintenance problems. Enforce traffic regulations on company property. As applicable, notify city authorities of security problems. Assist emergency personnel (police, fire and ambulance). Notify relief personnel of occurrences that require follow-up. Assists the receptionist in monitoring and authorizing the entrance and departure of patients, visitors, and staff. Escorts individuals to specified locations and assists with storing personal items. Patrols the grounds and parking areas for violations and safety concerns. Resolves issues with trespassers/intruders and helps deescalate situations in the lobby, visit, and intake areas. This is a part-time position working every Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM. Inspects and maintains emergency and safety equipment on property and vehicles and reports malfunctions. Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.
