Position Summary:
Insures the security of facilities, resources, employees and guests at Grand Canyon West. Monitors guest movements throughout location. Acts as Hualapai ambassador for guests asking for assistance. Assists with vehicle fleet.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to assess security situations or issues and take appropriate action.
Ability to assist with management of fleet vehicles, monitor and fill vehicle fluid levels and clean vehicles, as needed.
Ability to patrol grounds on foot and by vehicle and occasionally transport guests.
Ability to work in outdoor environment for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Man entry point station and ensure visitors have paid in order to proceed toward parking area. Patrol Guano point, Eagle Point and Skywalk to insure visitors have paid appropriate entrance fee.
Patrol the grounds of Grand Canyon West, transport guests on occasion and respond to emergency issues at remote area locations.
Monitor guest activity and escort off the premises any person under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
Answer visitor/tourists questions, gives directions, share information about GCW, the Hualapai history and culture, etc.
Provide security escort for all money transports done on location.
Continuously monitor areas for trash/debris by foot and/or vehicle
Monitor vehicle fluid levels; oil, transmission, brake, etc. as needed to prevent vehicle failure, keeps vehicle clean; wipes seat, cleans windows, empties trash after each shift and washes vehicle as needed
Fuel vehicles and insure tire-changing tools/equipment are aboard vehicles.
Maintain log of vehicle maintenance practices.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Good oral communication skills.
Valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
Clean criminal record.
High School Diploma or GED.
Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
This position requires proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
Working Conditions:
Position requires ability to work indoors as well as in outdoor environment for long periods of time, regardless of weather conditions. Must also have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as part of duties. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends and holidays.

JOB TITLE: Correctional Officers I, II and III

EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

STATEMENT OF DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
Correctional officers are responsible for the first-line supervision of adult offenders in detention/correctional institutions or community-based detention/correctional treatment or rehabilitation facilities. This position is highly demanding due to the fact that facility security, staff and offender safety and care are directly dependent on the Officer's skills. Incarcerated adults include males and females, both pre-sentenced and sentenced. Offenses range from misdemeanor offenses to violent felony charges for adults awaiting transfer to Federal courts/incarceration. Correctional Officers are responsible for enforcing standards, rules and regulations provided in Title 25 of the Code of Federal Regulations, 69 Bureau of Indian Affairs Manual, and Department of the Interior, Departmental Manual 446 governing the operations of the detention/correctional facilities and programs, and the confinement, safety, health and protection of adult offenders. Officers are responsible for offender classification, and facility counts along with maintaining fire safety, key control, perimeter security, and compliance with offender rules. Officers are required to conduct preliminary interviews of offenders for physical/mental health and classification assessments.
EXPERIENCE:
The basic requirement for Entry Level, Correctional Officer I positions is no experience to one (1) year working in any Tribal, County, State or Federal Correctional Facility.
The basic requirement for Correctional Officer II positions is a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Tribal, County, State or Federal Correctional Facility.
The basic requirement for Correctional Officer III position is a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a Tribal, County, State or Federal Correctional Facility.
NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license and be eligible for Tribe's insurance.
Must submit to a drug and alcohol screening and random testing thereafter.
Must have a favorable 10 year background investigation.

Handles all monetary transactions between the Cage and Gaming Tables in compliance with Gaming regulations, and as requested by Management.
Distributes gaming table cash boxes and handle box pulls for count team.
Provides escort for slot drop, stand-bys, etc. as needed.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GED, 3 years' experience, Valid Local Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness Card, Gaming License for both Tropicana & Harrah's Laughlin (Dual Property) Must be certified for CPR and AED cards, Must be able to restrain adults in excess of 200 lbs. Clean MVR 36 month not to exceed 3 points.
