What You'll Do: Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the apartment community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or disturbances. Observe and report any suspicious activity, maintenance issues, or hazards within the residential location. Document all incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements. Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying authorized individuals as needed. Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to residents. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. CPR and first aid experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
