Job Description
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to requests by radio, telephone, or other methods of communication.
Oversees the front desk, answering phones, opening doors and greeting visitors.
Wands persons entering the hospital to ensure contraband is not entering the facility as needed.
Responds to emergency calls for assistance.
Responds to Codes called within the hospital in real time to ensure the safety of staff and patients alike by diffusing situations using verbal de-escalation and CPI as needed.
Conducts periodic inspection tours based on pre-determined priorities and conditions.
Monitors CCTV security system, and must become proficient in the use of same, and develop the ability to trouble shoot if required.
Maintains logs of inspections as required.
Patrols hospital grounds to detect unauthorized persons or vehicles
Completes incident reports as required.
Responsible for securing, logging and safeguarding patients property.
Participates in fire drills and other Life Safety awareness programs and documents as required.
Participates in and supports a process to improve performance of services.
Required to attend and be proficient at Crisis Prevention Intervention Training. This training would apply initially and annually thereafter.
Serves subpoenas as requested.
Appear in Court as needed to provide testimony.
Provide escorts to Law Enforcement Agencies, Incoming admissions, Discharging patients and Visitors as required.
Register and Log visitors to the hospital as necessary.
Required to do lockups and unlocks of doors daily throughout the hospital.

Summary:
The Armed Security Guard provides security, installation access control, roving patrols, surveillance, monitoring and overall safeguarding to the installation and its tenants. This is a United States Army installation, which includes all access gym and workout facility as well as a PX, Burger King, and MWR.
Requirements
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
If U.S. military experience is included as referenced experience, candidate must have a DD214 within the last 10 years as verification
May require a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (CGS-Kosovo can sponsor new clearances)
Have two (2) years' experience in armed security, armed law enforcement, or have performed operations within the Armed Forces, civilian police or commercial security while armed within the past 10 years
Must have completed a State recognized civilian security or law enforcement academy, or the completion of an armed forces security or law enforcement training program. (Verification of training, such as a training certificate/s or DD214 (honorable discharge) must be provided)
Have a current/active U.S. Passport
Be willing to undergo an NCIC/FBI criminal background report to include fingerprints. Must have a clean criminal history with no convictions or major traffic offenses
Must have experience and knowledge of security operations
Must have experience with basic force protection
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be medically fit and undergo medical testing
Must pass a Physical Ability Test (to include - run 1.5 miles in 17:30 minutes and 21 pushups in two minutes). This is strictly enforced, and exceptions or waivers will not be allowed
Must be willing to undergo random drug testing upon request
Regular working hours are 48 hours per week. Due to the nature of the proposed employment, the employee may work on different schedules on different days of the week as assigned by a supervisor and may also be required to work additional hours beyond scheduled time
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
The candidate must maintain the necessary physical fitness to ensure accomplishment of assigned missions. This includes guard duties under local types of weather and terrain. The candidate must meet all physical and medical requirements as dictated by the U.S. Government client's contract.

Overview
The Public Safety Officer reports to the Security Manager. In this role, you will assist the Security Manager. This position operates under direct supervision and mentorship of the Security Manager.

Responsibilities
Provide assistance for all activities involved in facility and event security.
Perform crowd management and control techniques; Assist with police and fire rescue.

Maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Assist in general duties of public safety, theft deterrence and loss prevention.
Building, parking lot, and safety inspections as assigned by the manager.
Monitor fire safety equipment; surveillance equipment; card access equipment.
Ability to work security check-points and other posts plus traffic assistance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by manager
Ability to reach, grasp, walk, bend, stoop and stand for long periods.
Lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
Ability to work indoors & outdoors as needed, under varying climates in facility locale.
Ability to talk and hear; must be able to frequently communicate with internal and external clients; must be able to exchange information accurately in all situations.
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in law enforcement or security services.
Relevant experience working in a first class public assembly environment is preferred.
