BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Healthcare Security Supervisors to serve as an integral part of the security and care delivery team for a leading healthcare provider. The Security Supervisor will supervise shifts; act as relief to the Security Account Manager during off-hours, or for limited absences; conduct roving patrol and incident supervision in complex facilities.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions
Directly supervise Officers at assigned locations.
Assists in the training of Security Officers and review of post orders.
In conjunction with company management or designated company representatives acts to ensure adequate security coverage of all posts.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations including defusing a variety of physical situations in the Emergency Department.
Periodic tours to secure areas.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Emergency Department, waiting room and its operations.
Check for irregularities of suspicious activities and persons.
Be in charge of preserving order.
May enforce regulations pertaining to personnel and visitors.
Protecting staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the work place.
Control access to client facility through the admittance process.
Troubleshoot cameras, device replacements and configurations.
Understand and respond to the intrusion detection system.
Maintains and displays good public relations skills when interacting with visitors and staff.
The Security Supervisor will supervise shifts; act as relief to the Security Account Manager during off-hours, or for limited absences; conduct roving patrol and incident supervision in complex facilities.
Monitors entrances and exits.
Provides information regarding the facility and surrounding areas as requested by visitors.
Prevents unapproved or unlawful entry.
Prepare logs or reports as required for post, requiring detailed narrative reports.
Other duties as assigned.

Understand and respond to the intrusion detection system.
Maintains and displays good public relations skills when interacting with visitors and staff.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS/ TRAINING:
Minimum
Minimum 2-4 years of experience as Security Supervisor in challenging environment; for example: in an emergency department
Experience in dealing with the public in a service setting

Know of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.

The support is required for two cleaning crew details. One detail - cleaning bathrooms 5 days a week. The second detail - cleaning hallways, general areas and the command section on all three floors.
Work will be performed 5 days a week for 3 hours each day in support of the bathroom cleaning contract.
Work will also be performed one day a week for an additional 4 hours in support of the general building cleaning contract.

The Communications Security (COMSEC) shall interpret and utilize Key Management Infrastructure Operating Account (KOA) instructions to ensure files are maintained and destroyed in accordance with regulation.
The Communications Security (COMSEC) shall assist the KOA Manager and KOA Alternate(s) Manager with routine administrative account matters and general file maintenance.
The Communications Security (COMSEC) shall perform page checks and entering amendments and corrections in KOA-related publications and documentation; sign receipts, inventory, and destruction reports as a witness only; and review and updating markings on COMSEC material.
The Communications Security (COMSEC) shall accompany and assist personnel in maintaining Two Person Integrity when delivering, picking up and processing KOA material: marking, packaging, and wrapping COMSEC material for transport or shipping. This includes working with Local Elements (LE) to ensure proper safeguards and compliances are in place for audits, inventory management, and random spot checks.
The COMSEC shall administer, up to and including, top-secret inventory and document control programs to account for COMSEC equipment and materials. Inventories shall be conducted per agency policy and report discrepancies to the Government site lead.
Work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as moderate period of standing, walking, bending, stooping, researching, crawling, and similar activities when accessing/inspecting installations and activities. Must be able to lift or assist in a two person lift moving packages and bulky equipment up to 75 pounds
The COMSEC shall perform, review and correct refresher COMSEC and Crypto briefings and employee training on processes and procedures in accordance with required references.

Position Overview
The Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical security and safety of SAP Center at San Jose, Sharks Ice at San Jose and Tech CU Arena, scheduling the 24-hour security staff, training, enforcement of policies and procedures, and making rounds to guard against unauthorized entry and activities. This position is to oversee the operations of the overnight security team working generally from 10:00pm - 6:00am, five days a week based on event schedules at SAP Center, Sharks Ice at San Jose and Tech CU Arena.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision
Supervise admission to SAP Center at San Jose in general and especially during events by overseeing 24-hour security staff and performing magnetometer and bags checks, checking ID cards, and credentials of employees and others, interfacing with employees, the public and all vendors in the Arena.
Hire, train, schedule, assign, and coach and counsel 24 Hour Security staff.
Process payroll and maintain current schedules within the ABI system.
Ensure adequate staff coverage for all incoming calls and persons.
Develop and implement procedures, policies, and systems for all security/safety related incidents/contingencies and train staff on their responsibilities while carrying them out.
Work with management to determine the need for and implement programs to attain a sufficient number of staff with CPR and Basic First Aid training/certification.
Enforce facility policies including safety, facility access, loss prevention and other relevant tasks.
Security of Facility
Monitors CCTV and alarm computers as well as issue Arena ID cards.
On-going operation of alarm systems including maintenance and trouble-shooting and electronic access control.
Liaise with other departments regarding safety policies.
Set-up and monitor radio equipment for Security Department.
Implement facility emergency preparedness plans.
Maintain 24-hour, 7-day availability of knowledgeable security assistance.

May oversee security equipment issuance and maintenance.
Perform the duties of a security officer on a regular basis.
Maintain files, records, and logs consistent with the needs of Security and other departments for historical information.
Audit log entries and other written reports/memos as needed, as well as developing and implementing department strategies, procedures, and systems.
Establish and maintain computerized records including incident reports, employee roster, and lost and found.
Prepare and submit timely reports including payroll and other data relative to department operations.
Maintain and administrate all 24-Hour Security software including Camera monitoring client, ISS, and Aware manager activity log.
Establish and enforce strict procedures consistent with security and safety guidelines
Perform other tasks and projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree and three years of relevant security experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
In possession of a current BSIS Guard Card
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
Prior supervisor experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to use discretion.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to use sound judgment and independence in determining priorities.
Willingness and ability to hold others accountable for meeting performance as well as general conduct expectations.

The Part-time Campus Safety Officer is the entry level position in the Sage Hill Department of Campus Safety. The primary duty of the CSO will be to maintain a safe and secure community. The CSO may also be assigned to serve on special teams such as Incident Command and may work special projects, events, and assignments as directed by the Sage Hill Safety and Security Manager.
Essential duties, responsibilities and expectations include (but are not limited to) the following:
Maintains a neat and professional appearance, adhering to grooming and dress code or uniform standards set by the Safety and Security Manager.
Mental willingness and physical abilities necessary to carry out duties involved in emergency response. (Drag of 165 pounds dead weight 30', ability to run 1 mile in 12 minutes.)
May be asked to participate in various training activities including physical training (PT) and exercise on the job, at times in a paramilitary / academy format.
Greets all persons in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintains a safe and secure environment in support of the Safety and Security primary objectives.
Proactive patrol, access control and traffic control.
Assists in tasks associated with guest management and emergency preparedness and response.
Monitors and uses phone, radio, email and other technology in a professional manner.
Acknowledges and complies with all applicable policies and procedures.
May be asked to work outside of typical school hours, perform shift work, holidays, weekends and OT.
Observe, report and take reasonable action as outlined in SOP.
All other duties as assigned by the Safety and Security Manager.

Basic Competency in technology such as MS Office.
1 year of prior experience in campus safety or similar.
BSIS Guard Card desired.
High School Diploma required
College course work desired
