RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
Enforces regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
Controls access to client site or facility.
Patrols assigned site on foot or in; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
Protects evidence or scene of the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
Prepares logs and reports as required.
Responsibilities may include any and all protection and security services as required by the client and directed by GMCS.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for SecurityOfficers.
18 years or older.
High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive situations

Work locations vary. Travel required. Travel reimbursements are available.
Physical requirements as follows:
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform transportation duties per PBNDS Standards and Training.
Ensure all detainee transports are documented and detainee records and possessions are safeguarded at all times. Provide trip documentation to the Transportation Coordinator in a timely manner.
Notify Operations Supervisor, Transportation Coordinator and/or Project Manager of any route variations.
Ensure that any required detainee documentation is obtained from the transferring facility/agency prior to departure.
Ensure that assigned vehicle maintenance and service records are in corresponding binders.
Report any safety related transportation issues immediately and complete a vehicle repair order and give to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.
Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections on your assigned vehicle prior to departing the hub.
Ensure all required equipment is present in your assigned vehicle prior to departing. This shall include, but not limited to, first aid kits, insurance card, flares, security devices, etc. (See equipment list assigned to each vehicle.)
Report for work at your scheduled time (assigned by Operations Supervisor daily).
If assigned to a stationary guard post, such as hospital duty, ensure compliance with Post Orders and hospital protocol.
Ensure you have in your possession at all times; guard card, weapons permit, ICE ID, Company ID, medical card (if applicable).
Complete post vehicle check at the completion of your assignment.
Forward any gas receipts to the Supervisor in charge of Fleet Management.

Complete a Record of Presence (ROP), equipment and key sign in/out sheet and all associated paperwork necessary on a daily basis
Transport Officers are required to maintain a valid Armed Guard/Firearms permit as part of their qualifications to perform transport duties. Maintenance includes passing the periodic firearms recertification. Officers who fail to maintain their armed guard/firearms permit may not be assigned to Transportation duties.
The Contractor shall certify proficiency every quarter. Training curriculum shall include Use of Force training, Tactics, Weapon Safety, and Range Qualifications.
All Armed Officers are required to recertify with their issued duty handgun at periodicities set forth in the Federal contract or state requirements. Officers must achieve a minimum score of 200 or 80% out of 250 points and must demonstrate safe handling and manipulation of their weapon (or as mandated by state requirements).

The Campus Safety Officer position serves as part of a 24-hour-per-day rotation. The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for completing safety and security assignments and responding to emergency and crisis incidents during assigned shifts. Positions are available on either a 10-month or 12-month basis. Shifts are assigned according to the needs of the University, and weekly schedules may vary from month to month. Weekly workdays may begin on Monday and end on Friday or begin on Wednesday and end on Sunday. Reporting to the Lead Shift Officer and Director of Campus Safety, this position ensures a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by completing campus patrols, responding to emergencies, and incidents. During the rotation, the Campus Safety Officer's duties are listed but not limited to access management, after-hours property checks and appropriate services, routine campus/building rounds, first responder calls, fire/security alarm response, dispatching, transportation services, production of University Identification cards and supporting other departments in their operations.
Typical Schedule
This is a 10 or 12-month, non-exempt position designed to provide flexibility and work-life balance while supporting our vibrant residential community. Typical shifts for campus safety lead shift and officers are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight or 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m. (24-7, 365 days). This position operates in a professional office and security setting. Occasionally, additional early mornings, evenings, and weekends are to be required to meet student, departmental and institutional needs.
Position Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in law enforcement or campus safety or a combination of experiences in college or university campus environment.
* Certification in CPR and First Response, Mental Health First Aid, Crowd Management, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Defensive Driver, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response; Completion of Campus Safety, Facilities, Grounds and Residence Life and Community Standard Training (NOTE: certification and training must be obtained 3 months from the date of hire).
* Physically able to lift various materials up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. While performing required job tasks, physically able to remain standing up to minimally 50% of the time; Capability to work in varying weather conditions.
* Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform typing, operate a computer and other office equipment. While performing required job tasks, physically able to remain seated, frequently to continuously.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
* Familiarity with campus security systems, radio communications, and emergency response protocols.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions during emergencies; and able to respond quickly to emergencies across campus.

Essential Responsibilities:
Maintain a constant presence throughout the casino premises to deter and detect potential security threats, including theft, fraud, disturbances, and unauthorized access.
Customer Service Skills are a must. You will be on the floor, interacting with guests on your shift.
Provide a visible and reassuring presence for guests and employees, assisting them with inquiries, directions, and any security-related concerns.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer service requests, maintaining a courteous demeanor at all times.
Take immediate and appropriate action in emergency situations, such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or other safety threats, following established protocols and procedures.
Coordinate with emergency personnel, law enforcement, and other relevant parties as needed.

Adheres to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations; including, but not limited to, Suspicious Activity Reporting and Customer Identification requirements.
Monitor access points to ensure only authorized personnel and guests enter designated areas.
Verify identification of individuals, such as employees, visitors, and vendors, in accordance with casino policies.
Safeguard casino assets, including cash, chips, and equipment, by implementing security measures and protocols.
Assist with the escorting of high-value transactions and movements within the casino.
Ensure orderly and safe conduct of guests and visitors.
Participate in ongoing training programs to stay current on security procedures, emergency response protocols, and casino policies.
Maintain a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to casino security operations.
Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
Proven Customer service skills, as guest interaction in a must.
Proven experience in security roles, preferably within the casino or hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of security practices, emergency response procedures, and guest service principles.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse individuals and diffuse potentially volatile situations.
Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels and varied light levels including flashing lights.

Qualifications

Required Licensure/Certifications

Must maintain Taser, Handcuff, and Pepper Gel certification.
Must complete all required training and pass minimal physical requirements within 90 days from date of hire and as required thereafter.
