Under moderate supervision, provides Public Safety Services for the riding public, LTD employees, and assets. Provide safety and security services to the Linfield University community in a variety of situations including emergency response. Follow established security policies and standard operating procedures as outlined by the Director of Linfield Public Safety. Enforce university policies and appropriate state laws on the campus property by monitoring and patrolling the grounds and buildings of the university. Perform standard crime, fire/life safety, and accident prevention duties including investigation and documentation of incidents. Summary Description: The Campus Safety Officer position reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Safety. Other duties as described in the Post Orders Required Skills/Abilities: Current Oregon State Unarmed Security Guard License 2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security) preferred Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record Must have a clean criminal record EMT Background a huge plus Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting Availability to work day-shifts, swing-shifts, graveyard shifts, weekends. Reliable transportation Honesty and Integrity Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment Physical Requirements: Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols Able to stand 8-12 hours a day Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
