Minimum Qualifications:

Meet all Department of Transportation requirements
Firearms permit (or eligibility to obtain one)
Ability to obtain necessary state/local security licenses (including a guard card)
Pass background check, drug screening, and training
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in armed security or transportation

Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and/or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Schedule includes after-school, evening, and occasional weekend events as required.
This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistent
Coach and mentor students
Incident Management and verbal de-escalation
Monitors flow of traffic during pickup hours
Reports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
Walks up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
Stands for up to four hours per day
Act as First responder for emergencies
Stands post at secondary locations as required
Identify and report suspicious activity
Completes daily activity reports and incident reports as required
Cultivate positive relationships with staff and students
Access Control
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years' post-secondary education work experience
Minimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, Military, or Corrections Officer
Able to work well under pressure
High School Diploma or GED
Obtains required clearances for working in school
Ability to complete all required training to work in schools
No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
