Meet profitability, retention and written premium goals determined by the branch. Make independent decisions within underwriting letter of authority and maintain proper file documentation. Manage assigned agents efficiently including: Regular production visits Quarterly review of assigned brokers' profitability Identification to Profit Center Manager of potential broker conflicts & successes Focus on service and being responsive Work jointly with other profit centers within the organization as needed to promote cross selling and enterprise awareness. Assist in developing annual business goals for assigned agents/producers. Responsible for analyzing results and maintaining accountability of agency partners within the branch. Has an in-depth knowledge of branch's products and services. Can clearly articulate Seneca's value proposition and underwriting appetite. Participate in training and initiatives to develop knowledge base. May participate in projects. Travel - up to 20%. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of P&C underwriting experience. Possesses strong communication and analytical skills to pursue new business and manager overall relationships. Proficient in software needed to succeed. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Possesses, or is pursuing, underwriting and industry designations applicable to area of specialization. Will abide by branch policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with Seneca's risk control procedures. Knowledge of commercial insurance products.
