This role will focus on managing and servicing loan portfolios, spreading and analyzing financial statements, and identifying industry risk. This position is fully in office at our corporate building in Las Vegas, NV. Essential Functions: * Manages the commercial loan portfolio with coordination from the Relationship Manager (RM). * Conducts initial interview with the RM and is introduced to client. * Follow up with borrower for required financial information and explanation. * Through discussion with the client and minimal RM assistance obtain sufficient understanding of borrower's financial position, managerial strategy, and expected loan performance to recommend a loan structure. * Document understanding of the lending relationship in written form primarily in loan credit presentations, but also in problem loan reports, semi-annual credit reviews, risk grading, and file comments. * The Commercial Credit Underwriter, Sr. will assist and may lead the presentation of the loan at credit committee. * Obtain satisfactory Audit and Regulatory examination findings. * The successful Commercial Credit Underwriter, Sr. is capable of managing the loan portfolio with limited assistance from the RM. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Requires a Bachelor's and 4+ years experience with commercial lending (C&I), lending policies and procedures, or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. * Extensive knowledge of C&I credit underwriting, lending policies and procedures, loan structuring, and financial analysis. * Must have knowledge of job-related software such as Moody's Risk Analysis as well as other common office software and applications. * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and ability to communicate with external clients and internal employees. * Must have excellent analytical abilities and decision-making skills.
