As a Complex Property Underwriter, you will handle complex new and renewal Middle Markets property business. The Middle Markets Complex Property Underwriter is responsible for:
+ Serving as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience by understanding their risk and offering the best end to end solution for their insurance needs.
+ Using a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing
+ Using risk insights, data, and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale
+ Identifying gaps involves and aligning Zurich's products and value proposition to offer a solution that provides the contract certainty the customer needs
+ Demonstrating strong analytical skills and executing as an innovative advisor
+ Underwriting, analyzing, and generating new and renewal business
+ Market facing presence and production within the growing Middle Markets property division in the region

A Brief Overview
As a member of the Asset Management Team within the Real Estate Investments Division, job responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of a designated portfolio of loans, entering and verifying all property related information, operating statement and rent roll data, borrower financial information, market and submarket data, comparable rent, sales and capitalization rate information and any other relevant loan information. Team members assist the Regional Managers and Legal by collecting and reviewing all required asset management loan documents, leases, surveys, title policies, organization documents, etc. Team members review and complete all post-closing servicing requests, and other loan or property related items requiring information or follow-up with the borrower. Role includes completing all loan ratings, internal valuations, loan surveillance, and other special projects as required.
What you will do
* Collect, standardize, record, and analyze borrower, property and operating information including by not limited to annual operating statements, rent rolls and borrower's personal financials for a dedicated portfolio of loans. Ensure timely delivery and entering of all necessary borrower provided documentation.
* Complete annual rating process for assigned loan portfolio. Review and analyze borrower financials, property operating history, rent roll, market rental and occupancy data, location information, building characteristics and demographic information. Partner with the Chief Valuation Officer to determine appropriate cap rate and qualitative adjustments to conclude to a property value and overall loan rating.
* Complete loan surveillance and all borrower requests including loan assumptions, assignments, escrow draws, partial releases, and tenant lease related activities by acting as the liaison between the borrower and Lender. Assist home office management in all special servicing related matters in the event of a loan default. Manages any WatchList loans. Assist the home office servicing manager with all payment, tax, and insurance related issues.
* Research, review, and analyze market and submarket data and prepares periodic reports on both positive and negative trends.
* Enter and verify all property related information, operating statement and rent roll data, borrower financial information, market and, submarket data, comparable rent, sales and capitalization rate information and any other relevant loan information for all new originations.
* Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
* Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required:
* Bachelor's degree - Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, IT or related area of study
* 2+ years of experience working in Commercial Real Estate, Insurance, Banking or Financial Services company

Compensation Range:
$65,050.00 - $92,400.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
