Saving Macro Level CICS users from Multi-million dollar conversions1987 pioneered the use of 256 LSR pools in Batch processes, effectively using LSR pools to enhance buffer retention, and significantly reduce VSAM I/Os in batch by 90%, with significant reductions in batch wall clock times.1986 Authored a MVS/XA program relocation product using 31-bit storage in CICS pre CICS/ESA. Effectively using 31-bit storage to reduce or in many cases eliminate the impact of program subpool compressions and subsequent I/Os reloading the programs.1985 Authored a CICS monitor which was later acquired by a larger software company. That product later on became the "model" used by IBM for CICSplex/SM.

Carlos Fernandez Menendez is a Chief Commercial Officer at UNICOM Global and General Manager España / Sales Manager Centro Europa at UNICOM Global and is based in Madrid Y, Alrededores, Spain. Over twenty years of experience in design and implementation of relational database engine products and features. Experience in building high performance products used in demanding business areas like telecommunications, media delivery and electronic trading platforms. Co-founder of Solid Information Technology Ltd that was acquired by IBM.
