Additional Information:
Internship Duration and Requirements
The 2026 USHG Internship Program begins on June 1st and ends on August 7th. Interns are required to be available to work throughout the duration of the program, attend all scheduled events, and commit to 32 - 40 hours per week. Please note that the work schedule may vary and could potentially include nights, weekends, and holidays.
To be eligible for the internship program, you must be currently enrolled or graduating in 2026 from an accredited college or university.
Compensation
All USHG internship positions are paid. The rate for all interns is $20/hour.

Who you are:
The BOH Shift Lead works closely with the Kitchen Manager at Revel and Rye to ensure that we offer a consistently phenomenal service, food, and beverage program. The goal of this role is to guide and support the Porter team with their daily tasks and ensure the completion of those tasks.
What you'll do:
* Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
* Conduct pre shift meeting with the Porter staff, assign positions, and address goals for the day
* Perform and hold staff accountable to opening and closing checklist duties
* Lead Porter staff, ensuring all operational tasks get completed, and guests are given best-in-class service when the manager is absent
* Uphold excellent maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen at all times up to DOH Standards
* Ensure excellent service & hospitality is provided for all guests, community, vendors, and investors
* Continuously provide support to all service staff and actively participate in the cycle of service, as needed
* Support the Hospitality team whenever needed (i.e., callouts, catering, etc.) and respond to emergencies, using good judgement when there are incidents in the restaurant
* Perform additional responsibilities as needed and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational success

* Experience in a kitchen support position within a similar environment
* Must have expert knowledge of DOH Standards
* Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
* Ability to work PM shifts (6:00 pm - 2:30 am)
