Essential Job Duties
* Adhere to all safety standards, work practices, policies and procedures established by the University, Manager of Facilities, and supervisor.
* Sweep, mop, scrub floors, stairs, and other flooring surfaces; use light and heavy floor machines and attachments; scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors using industrial type cleaning agents and powered scrubber, buffer, and burnish.
* Vacuum carpet in offices, classrooms, and public areas; shampoo carpet when directed by housekeeping supervisor.
* Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, door trim, etc. as directed.
* Clean hallways, entryways, lounges, and custodial closets as directed.
* Adjust, oil, and clean scrubbers. Change brushes, pads, and other attachments.
* Wash windowsills, glass, and trim in corridors and entryways.
* Wash and/or spot clean walls, working on ladders as required.
* Fully clean and service all lavatories and toilets in restrooms daily.
* Collect trash and debris, place in collection area for removal; clean wastebaskets and replace liners.
* Report items that need repair (lights, ceiling tile, doorstops, outlets, etc.); change light bulbs inside facilities as directed.
* Work special events and Saturdays as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

The Department of Engineering at Union University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering, beginning fall 2026.
Teaching load is 24 credit hours (typically 4-4). We are seeking specific expertise and interest in at least one of the following areas: thermal sciences and energy, solid mechanics and materials, or design and manufacturing. The successful candidate will teach upper- and lower-division courses across the breadth of our general engineering curriculum. Course offerings may be developed and refined in line with the candidate's preparation and scholarly interests. The successful candidate will work with current engineering faculty members to develop a civil engineering concentration and will take on teaching duties within that new concentration. Union faculty members produce scholarship and participate in advising and departmental/university service. Rank assignment commensurate with education/experience. The Engineering Department is part of Union's College of Arts and Sciences and is housed in the Ethos Forum, a new facility containing a large maker space and designed to cultivate collaboration across departments and within the local community. Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a related field, and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team are essential. The position requires a high degree of accountability, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, while following directions with minimal supervision.

The Department of Chemistry at Union University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Chemistry, beginning fall 2026. The ideal candidate would have a background in Inorganic Chemistry.
Teaching load is 24 credit hours and will include both lecture and laboratory sections. Successful candidate will be prepared to teach introductory chemistry and inorganic chemistry (lectures and labs) as well as organic chemistry (labs) and advanced topics in chemistry. Ability to teach analytical chemistry a plus. Previous teaching experience (especially at the college level) a plus. Course offerings, including in particular our variable-by-design "Advanced Topics in Chemistry" course, may be developed and refined in line with the successful candidate's preparation and scholarly interests. Union faculty members produce scholarship and participate in advising and departmental/university service. Rank assignment commensurate with education/experience. The Department of Chemistry is part of Union's College of Arts and Sciences. The department includes four regular faculty and two instructional staff members, and it serves not only its forty major and minor students but also students in biology, engineering, pharmacy, pre-medicine, pre-optometry, physical therapy, forensics, and the general education program. Prior experience teaching undergraduate level group and private strings. * Provide administrative support for Study Abroad and the Center for Global Engagement ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. * Develop and maintain positive interactions with visitors, students, faculty, and staff.
* Coordinate and supervise the work of student employees.

* Maintain the Study Abroad and CGE calendars.
* Adhere to FERPA regarding privacy of information.
* Update related websites and social media as needed.

Study Abroad Programming
* Organize and participate in orientation, pre-departure and debriefing sessions, and study abroad fairs.
* Create and maintain computer and hardcopy files of required documents of each off campus student.
* Maintain and update files on all faculty and students who participate in an external study program.
* Assist study abroad director with faculty-led programs.
* Process student and third-party provider program payments as required and make appropriate disbursement of funds through the student's account in conjunction with the
Business Office, Student Services, and the Financial Aid Office.
* Create, update, collect and review all required student forms for the program.
* Process study abroad scholarship applications and awards.
* Receive and process transcripts.
* Oversee online data management including:
* Assign trip and enrollment IDs and maintain database
* Create study abroad courses and register students
* Manage study abroad international applications. Software used includes: Ellucian Colleague and Horizons.
* Support faculty on implementing ongoing protocols and initiatives for study abroad.
* Assist in gathering and tabulating information for budget and planning reports, course

CGE programming
* Organize and Coordinate events related to the Center for Global Engagement (Missions Fair, Powell Missions Lecture, etc.)

* Promote missions opportunities and events to students, staff, and faculty.
* Assist with connections between Union University and missions organizations, especially
the International Mission Board.

Graduation from high school or equivalent with three years of clerical or administrative experience. The Department of Engineering at Union University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering, beginning fall 2026.
Teaching load is 24 credit hours (typically 4-4). We are seeking specific expertise and interest in at least one of the following areas: dynamics, vibrations, controls, robotics, and automation. The successful candidate will teach upper- and lower-division courses across the breadth of our general engineering curriculum. Course offerings may be developed and refined in line with the candidate's preparation and scholarly interests. Essential Job Duties
Teaching responsibilities include primary and secondary applied voice for students in Music Education, Commercial Music, and Worship Leadership. Applied lessons for minors and elective voice students. Additional teaching opportunities may include commercial vocal techniques, commercial vocal styles pedagogy, recording studio singing techniques, and vocal improvisation techniques. This position requires the ability to perform and teach various styles including Classical, Commercial, Gospel, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary Worship music. The candidate should demonstrate ability in teaching and modeling belt singing technique. The ability to accompany students on piano from written music and charts/Nashville numbers is desired. Opportunities to provide coaching, direction, and supervision for vocal ensembles may be available. Perform in Faculty Concerts and University ensembles as directed. Supervise Student Junior and Senior Recitals and Projects in voice. Other courses and additional duties may be assigned predicated on the interests, qualifications, and experiences of the applicant as well as on the departmental needs.
Additional responsibilities encompass service to the department, university, and community along with appropriate scholarly activities.
Other Job Duties Required Qualifications
* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in Vocal Performance, Commercial Voice, Vocal Jazz, or equivalent.
* Skill, ability, and stylistic adaptability to instruct students pursuing vocal studies in various degree tracks, including Vocal Performance, Vocal Music Education, Worship Leadership, and Commercial Music.
* Commercial singing experience in studio recording contexts.
* Live professional performance experience in commercial-based genres as well as classical solo vocal performance.
* Ability to work in a team leadership setting, strong collaborative skills, and experience teaching undergraduate-level group and private voice.
* Demonstrate ability in teaching and modeling belt singing technique.
Preferred Qualifications
* DMA or Ph.D. in Vocal Performance, Commercial Voice, Vocal Jazz, or equivalent
* Extensive studio recording and commercial performance credits
* Demonstrated solo and choral performance experience in multiple styles, including Classical, Gospel, Jazz, Commercial styles, and contemporary Worship
* University-level teaching experience in applied voice, vocal techniques, and pedagogy
* Ability to accompany students on piano from written music and charts/Nashville Numbers
* Ability to teach Music Theory and musicianship/aural skills courses a plus.
* Worship ministry experience

Position Title Faculty Position in Computer Science Division College of Arts & Sciences (DIV) Department Computer Science Location Jackson Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science at Union University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, beginning fall 2026.
Teaching load is 24 credit hours (typically 4-4). Successful candidate will serve in the areas of software engineering, cybersecurity, and/or data analytics, and will be expected to teach a variety of upper and lower-division undergraduate Computer Science courses as assigned. Preference given to candidates who are well qualified to teach courses in cybersecurity and software engineering. Course offerings may be developed and refined in line with the successful candidate's preparation and scholarly/research interests. Union faculty members produce scholarship and participate in advising and departmental/university service. Rank assignment commensurate with education/experience. Competitive salary and benefits package. Position subject to final budgetary approval.
The Computer Science Department is part of Union's College of Arts and Sciences. It includes three full time faculty members and serves approximately 60 majors and minors in Computer Science and Cybersecurity Programs. The Computer Science major has a general concentration and more specialized concentrations in web development and game development.
