This Vocational Trainer requires the ability to work closely with one individual on a daily basis in both the Adult Training Facility and Residential environments. Working with the team to develop appropriate daily routines, safety routines strategies, and judicious positive reinforcement of adaptive behaviors. Working with the team and Psychology (if needed) to develop, implement and develop individualized programs to decrease identified challenging symptoms and behaviors. Providing information to Psychiatry (if needed) to assist in the management of Psychiatric interventions. Escorting and providing information during scheduled Psychiatric appointments (as applicable). Providing and maintaining communication with the QIDP, PSS, and House Manager to ensure consistent support and appropriate programming for the individual. Assisting with educating peers to work with Individual during “off” times. Attending in-service training sessions. Functioning at all times as the Individual's advocate. Attending and working with Individual when scheduled for IPP meetings, EA/ET or AA. Accompanying Individual with off-campus trips and doctor's appointments. Performing other duties as required.
