- Ensure all residents in dining room have a drink and person-centered activity.
- Communicate personally with all residents in the dining room.
- Clerical duties including answering calls and taking messages on nursing units.

Full Time, Monday - Friday Days + 1 weekend per month

The Unit Assistant contributes to our Mission of Caring by supervising day-to-day nursing activities. Supervision and duties must be in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the director of nursing services to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
The Unit Assistant will:
- Receive and follow work schedule/instructions from your supervisor as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Answer phones on the neighborhoods, and direct calls where they need to go.
- Assist nursing and medical records with filing on the neighborhood.
- Prepare medical record for resident admission, discharge and transfers.
- Assist with making resident appointments.
- Assist nursing staff with booking transportation to medical appointments.
- Work with nursing staff and consultants. Such as making sure room is ready for consultant, appointments are scheduled, and assisting in getting these residents to the treatment rooms.
- Assist with establishing charts for new residents as well as depleting charts and giving to medical records along with general maintenance of the medical chart.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with inter-department personnel as well as other departments with the facility.
- Work with Admissions staff to make sure rooms are ready for new admissions.
Qualifications for the Unit Assistant position:
- High School diploma or GED
- Current and valid CMT certification
