It's an easy job. I love my patients. The lab portion of the job is fun to me. My particular team is helpful and friendly.
It is really slow in rural clinics. Though you work in a healthcare setting, this is a sales job. I do believe the company provides a much needed service, and I do think the employees and even the higher-ups are passionate about it, but this is a number-driven business. Having to meet a quota in a setting where patient care should be the only priority is kind of soul crushing. They are still lacking in the training process in some aspects. Particularly in the administrative and billing issues that come up.
Vision and dental insurance are great. Medical kind of sucks but all HDHPs suck in my opinion. The lower premium is really the only advantage. If you're a generally healthy person it will cover your needs. Clinics have free lunches sometimes.
