Job overview and responsibilities The Senior Architect - Application Cybersecurity helps validate that our services, applications, and websites are designed and implemented in accordance with United's secure development standards. The Senior Architect works closely with development teams, product teams, and other teams across the organization to integrate security into the product lifecycle from design through deployment. The Senior Architect will work with security architects, design and develop applications or technical solutions for the validation and enforcement of security requirements, performing application security assessments, and providing developers with remediation guidance and advice. * Analyze security requirements, design and develop applications to automate security review, compliance validation, and security operations, leveraging application security testing and monitoring solutions. * Improve the accessibility of security through automation, continuous integration pipelines, and other means. * Research, define and drive for security best practices and standards and ensure products development teams understand them; Create technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed. * Support security architecture design and analysis and improve our products. Perform code analysis of applications, manually and using SAST, DAST, and SCA scanning solutions as well as conducting manual vulnerability analysis. * Technical point of contact for product teams as it relates to automation, CI/CD, and remediation guidance. Tasks and Responsibilities * Install, create, patch, tune, and manage database systems and related technologies * Lead/support database development projects and provide advice on technologies and methods to improve database functionality and performance * Design and manage technologies and processes to provide high-availability and high-performing database solutions * Provide 7x24x365 assistance as necessary in support of NetJets global high-availability operations and provide on-call support for the database team. Education Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Certifications and Licenses Years of Experience 4-6 years of experience Core Competencies Adaptability Collaboration Curiosity Service-Oriented Strives for Positive Results Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs) * Bachelor's degree in, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a equivalent engineering field. * 6+ years of experience administering/creating MS SQL and Oracle on * Windows/UNIX/AIX and/or Linux platforms. * 6+ years of experience with High Availability database solutions/architectures such as Windows * Clustering/Always On and/or Oracle Real Application Clusters. * 5+ years of setting up Standby Database databases and using Always On/DataGuard. * 6+ years of firsthand experience with one of the major backup packages. (RMAN/TSM) * Must have excellent SQL, PL/SQL, Power shell and Unix shell scripting skills. * Java or Perl experience is desirable. * Hands-on experience with MS SQL/Oracle performance tuning. * Data warehousing experience is a plus, but is not required. * 4+ years of hands on experience with database monitoring tools is required. * Logical & Physical database design experience is a plus, but not required. * Experience with Oracle Exadata and IBM-DB2 is a plus, but not required * Experience with Oracle Goldengate is a plus, but not required * Experience implementing Snowflake Cloud Datawarehouse platform services, AWS services including Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon RedShift, and Amazon Database Migration Service, and S3 is a plus, but not required How NetJets Supports You NetJets is proud to provide a variety of attractive benefits to our employees, including many at no cost.
