Key Responsibilities1. Provider Data & Credentialing Management
Collect, verify, and maintain provider documentation (licenses, DEA/CSR, malpractice, CAQH, NPI, W-9, education, board certifications, CE).
Maintain a centralized, auditable source of truth with version control and expiration tracking.
Manage CAQH profiles, NPPES updates, Medicaid IDs, PECOS (if applicable), and payer rosters.
Ensure data accuracy prior to submission and resolve discrepancies (name, address, taxonomy, TIN, EFT/ERA details).
Conduct OIG/SAM exclusion checks and state license verification.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and internal data governance standards.
2. CHOW Transitions & Network Strategy
Lead end-to-end CHOW processes across payers, including contract updates, roster changes, EFT/ERA transitions, and portal access.
Create and manage CHOW project plans with clear timelines and risk mitigation.
Advise leadership on optimal payer participation by state, location, and specialty.
Track CHOW milestones and validate post-transition performance (claims paid, EFT accuracy, portal access).
3. Credentialing & Recredentialing Applications
Prepare, submit, and track initial and recredentialing applications across commercial, government, and dental carriers.
Monitor expirations and recredentialing cycles to prevent network lapses.
Respond to payer RFIs, escalate delays, and document all follow-ups.
Maintain accurate payer portal access and ensure providers/sites display correctly as in-network.
Establish and meet SLAs for submission quality, turnaround time, and follow-up cadence.
4. Contract & Fee Schedule Review
Organize and maintain payer contracts and fee schedules with version control.
Compare fee schedules against benchmarks (top CDT codes, regional rates, Medicaid/Medicare references).
Analyze contract terms and summarize financial and operational impacts.
Partner with Finance and RCM to model reimbursement outcomes and support renegotiations or terminations.
Coordinate implementation of fee schedules and audit initial payments for accuracy.
5. Carrier Relationship Management
Serve as the primary contact for payer and carrier representatives.
Schedule and lead regular check-ins and QBRs.
Resolve escalations related to credentialing, rosters, CHOWs, and contracts.
Communicate updates and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
3-5+ years of healthcare credentialing experience (dental strongly preferred).
Experience supporting multi-provider, multi-location, and multi-state environments.
Hands-on experience with CAQH ProView, payer portals (e.g., Availity, UHC, Aetna, Cigna, Delta Dental, MetLife), NPPES, and Medicaid portals.
Proven experience leading CHOW transitions.

Job Summary:
The Risk Management Claims Manager will manage the administration of claims for incidents for multiple companies located in multiple states, along with a team of claims specialists. This will include managing the service of insurance carriers (“Carrier”), vendor partners, and any other service providers related to the managing of claims with oversight of claims reviews and internal claims management. Loss Run review for each line of coverage with carrier and ensure proper handling of all claims. Under the general direction of the Director of Risk Management, the Manager is responsible for mitigating, reporting, and managing Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Property, Business Interruption and General Incident Review; through risk and claims by formulating, developing, and coordinating all claim-related activities. Management of incidents by providing communication between internal parties and carriers, incorporating direct support of the field through mitigation recommendations and actions.
As a manager within the Risk Management Department other responsibilities will include leader of the Severe Weather Task Force, which includes field support of incoming inclement weather, management of the office tracker, and follow up on any property or business interruption (BI) claims with the partnership of the facilities team.
This position will also support in the areas of Loss Control and Safety Training. The manager will be responsible for ensuring claims responsiveness across TAG and supported practices.
Responsibilities:
Documentation/Database Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of risk management and claims/incidents via internal and external systems, including loss run review.
Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement risk management and compliance strategies, promoting a culture of patient/animal safety and minimizing potential liabilities.
Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a point of contact and liaison between doctors, operations, field, and other support departments facilitating effective communication and collaboration to address risk management and claims related issues.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with severe weather incidents, industry trends, legal regulations, and emerging risk management and compliance practices for all brands and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures accordingly.

Qualifications:

What You'll Do
Deliver top-tier patient service at every touchpoint, from check-in to checkout
At check-in:
Welcome patients warmly and create a positive start to their visit
Reappoint for their next recare before they leave
Collect over-the-counter balances with confidence
Verify and update personal and insurance details
At checkout:
Present treatment plans and associated fees clearly
Convert treatment recommendations into scheduled appointments
Provide after-visit documents (receipts, school notes, reminders)
Manage and work the recall/reappointment list to keep the schedule full
Monitor and minimize cancellations through proactive communication
Partner with the practice manager and clinical team to keep the daily schedule optimized and on goal
Answer phones promptly and professionally, turning inquiries into booked appointments
Support compliance and maintain organized, accurate patient records
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 3 years dental front office experience (collections and scheduling experience required)
Strong skills with scheduling software and Microsoft Office
Experience with dental software systems preferred
Associates degree in business or office administration a plus
Solid communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to both patient satisfaction and office performance
