SUMMARY:
UIHS Physicians provide comprehensive medical care to clients of United Indian Health Services (UIHS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides clinical care as granted via the UIHS credentialing and privileging process.
Elicits and records information about client's medical history, surgical history, social history, family history, and other pertinent information related to the care of clients.
Conducts appropriate physical exams based on the client's chief complaints and reason for visit.
Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostics to provide information on client's condition.
Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition.
Administers or prescribes treatments and medication as needed.

Orders and oversees the vaccination of clients to immunize clients from communicable diseases using current guidelines.

Makes house and emergency calls to attend to clients unable to visit office or clinic, if necessary.
Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.
Consults and advises Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants at UIHS clinics.
Provider supervision to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as assigned.
Adheres with accreditation and compliance standards/guidelines.
Attends department meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Maintains a professional, organized, and clean working environment by following organizational policies, guidelines, and safety standards.
Assists in development of departmental policy, procedures, and quality improvement activities within the clinic as directed.
Provides after hours back-up phone coverage for client advice by providing at home call coverage for UIHS at least five (5) weeks per calendar year.
Participates in the peer review process by returning reviews in a timely manner and participates in peer review meetings as needed.
Physician may be assigned to selected specific duties or committees based on interest, experience, and expertise; including, but not limited to: Diabetes Advisor, Laboratory Director, Infection Prevention Committee Liaison, etc.
Performs all duties in accordance with the UIHS Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles.
Specialized/Advanced Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical Duties - may provide via contract specifics
Provides medical, pediatric and/or obstetrical services as privileged through local hospitals.

PRIMARY DUTIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Level I:
Represents interests of Dental Services. Along with the Dental Director and AOD, collaborates with, and acts as a liaison between Dental Services and the Executive Leadership Team, including Chief Clinical Officer (CCO).
Collaborates with the dental supervisors in their service areas for technical and quality oversight of dental services. Creates competencies and training plans for all direct reports.
Working with the Dental Director maintains provider schedules including on-call schedule, time off requests while assuring needs of the clients and staff are met.
Assure Dental Services compliance with agencies, state, and federal regulations, by monitoring protocol compliance and service delivery.
Oversight of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, orientation and training employees; assisting supervisors with the training, planning, assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing client and employee complaints and resolving issues.
Follows contract stipulations for all contracted dental care.
Assists the Dental Director in the financial aspects of Dental Services daily operations such as planning, forecasting, developing, and managing the annual budget as well as understanding the payer environment and the billing and fee scale requirements of the facility.
Assists in the preparation, evaluation, and monitoring of the operations of Dental Service programs and establishes goals to ensure achievement of performance levels and standards as directed.
Assists with the submission and analysis of monthly clinical statistic reports as needed and requested.
Makes recommendations for service improvements to maintain maximum communication and support between staff, volunteers, clients, and administration.

Prepares formal evaluation of subordinate supervisors and reviews evaluations prepared by them.
For non-provider staff, approves, modifies, or rejects career development plans, training requests, employee utilization proposals, and similar matters and forwards paperwork to the Dental Director for final approval.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Information Management and Reporting
Maintain and update all Temple records accurately and securely
Create new member accounts
Provide data reports from ShulCloud, to assist the membership, programming, bnai-Mitzvah, clergy, ritual and Admin departments of Sinai Temple.
Establish and implement processes by which Temple updates the database and maintains “clean data.”
Membership Engagement: Correspondence & Communications
Generate and manage donor acknowledgement letters and tribute cards in a timely manner

Prepare clergy condolence letters immediately following death
