Andrew Alspach holds an advanced academic degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and International Development. He has 20+ years of professional experience focused on improving response to individuals affected by humanitarian crisis by building UN, national, and international capacities to mitigate the effects of natural and complex emergencies.

Andrew is committed to bringing individuals affected by a crisis into decisions and solutions while building capacity of national governments, other UN Agencies and civil society to improve humanitarian and development initiatives.

25+ years of progressive leadership in international health, social protection and development with a strong focus on infectious and non-communicable diseases (Cancer, HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria), gender, resource mobilization, strategic partnership building, monitoring & evaluation, health systems strengthening and development financing. Worked on long-term assignments in Eastern Europe (Russian Federation, Moldova, Belarus and Ukraine) and South East Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand). Master degrees in International Health Systems Management, Social Science and International Relations. Trained journalist (TV, radio and print media) and communications specialist. Has published a range of peer-reviewed articles and publications. Fluent in English, Russian and German (mother tongue) with knowledge of French, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Arabic. Since 2014, featured on "List of 300 Women Leaders in Global Health" (http://www.who.int/alliance-hpsr/news/2015/300women/en/).

Alice Armanni Sequi is a Chief, Pooled Fund Management Branch at United Nations OCHA.

Edem Wosornu is a Chief, Response Support Branch at United Nations OCHA and is based in Genève, Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. He attended University College London (UCL) between 1998 and 1999; UNIVERSITY OF HULL between 1995 and 1998; and College of Law, Store Street, London between 1999 and 2000.

Hansjoerg Strohmeyer joined OCHA in December 1998. He has been the Chief of OCHA’s Policy Development and Studies Branch since 2007. In this capacity, he also served as Secretary of the Secretary-General’s High-Level Task Force on the Global Food Crisis in 2008.

Cherif Ghaly is a Chai of Working Group on Emergency Telecommunications at United Nations OCHA, Advisor at A Human Right, and Chief of Technical Coordination and Partnerships at United Nations OCHA and is based in San Francisco, California.
