Retail Maintenance Technician Level B JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for performing assigned work involving routine and non-routine types of preventive and ongoing maintenance (this includes repairs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine servicing). In addition, they are responsible for adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures while complying with safe work practices and assisting other members of the maintenance teams and working effectively with other internal staff as needed to assure service excellence. They rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform assigned mechanical maintenance work to ensure efficient ongoing operation of assigned location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and preform routine and non-routine types of preventive and on-going maintenance. Demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and make competent decisions when the maintenance manager is not available. Remain current with latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation. Provide staff with the necessary training on existing and new equipment. Complete supervisory activities such as administering employee promotions and transfers; reviewing and editing employee timekeeping; completing performance evaluations; mentoring, training, and coaching employees. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
