**Job Summary**
UPS is currently hiring Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics. This position is responsible for maintenance activities that are performed to keep a UPS package handling facility operating efficiently and effectively. The work is fast-paced and requires routine interaction with other hub employees. Ideal candidates must be available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, in a 24 x 7 operation. This position requires strong electrical background and must pass electrical assessment.
**Responsibilities:**
Troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo driven equipment, photo electrical devices, transducers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) and encoders.
Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates
Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, lubricators, hoses, and coils
Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps
Welding equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts, and grating as defined by scope of work.
Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.

This position maintains a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of vehicles, both ground support equipment and street vehicles. * Receives, refers, or makes paging calls and makes paging announcements, as appropriate. Keeps other station personnel advised of flight movements, weather conditions, and irregular operations
* Prepares statistical reports to record information from trip papers. Operates equipment for flight information display systems and updates system when operationally necessary
* Properly maintains and wears the uniform by Company regulations and presents a neat and professional appearance while on duty

Qualifications:

• Experience or coursework related to Angular UI and API development
• Interest or basic exposure to cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Help troubleshoot deployment issues and improve system reliability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and technical skills

Job Description:
Seeking a reliable Mechanic Journeyman to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. These vehicles' propulsion systems include EV, Hybrid, diesel and gasoline. Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
Responsibilities and Duties
Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday
Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday
Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
Operates standard and manual transmission
Operates power and pneumatic tools
Requirements
Must have an active driver's license issued by the state
Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need.
Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment.
Knowledge and Skills
Current documented automotive mechanical experience
Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
Possesses full complement of personal hand tools
Must obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 3 months.
Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis
Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime depending on service needs
Wears personal protective equipment as required
Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity (climatic conditions), exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise, outside inclement weather, etc.
Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
Communicates effectively through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
