Shift Days: Monday to Friday or Sunday thru Thursday with some Weekends depending on freight levels.
Shift Hours: Being flexible on both shifts is key as the ideal candidate will need to work between 8 - 10 hours per day on either day or night shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all employee work schedules and time off requests.
Closely works with the Assistant Manager and/or Service Center Manager to ensure alignment in meeting daily/weekly/monthly and yearly business objectives.
Maintain constant communication with upper management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the service center.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization's internal capacity.
Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives.
Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget.
Conducts daily inspections to ensure compliance with local state, federal safety regulations, as well as OSHA in conjunction with the safety team.
Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of service center operations.
Knowledge of Truckmate system and any other computer/internal freight monitoring systems used.
Diligently monitors freight movement.
Makes quick and informed decisions based on the volume levels and communicates schedule to affected employees by using manpower worksheet.
Works assigned shift/s as needed, must be available to work depending upon customer pickup and delivery schedules.
Monitors and evaluates the safety of each employee daily, trains on safety processes as needed.
Keeps strategic relations with Linehaul operations to monitor freight movement.
Manages, assigns employees around the dock to ensure proper utilization and development of employees, equipment, loading and unloading while meeting Daylight's and customer expectations.
Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans through Catalytic Coaching for all direct reports and problem resolution.
Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) required. Preferred of three (3) to five (5) -year of leading Management experience and/or training.

General Purpose
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Conventional Manufacturing Supervisor will assist in developing an intentional culture of excellence, teamwork, and growth. This key role will direct, and coordinate production. The Supervisor will direct Team Leads, Set-up Techs, Operators, Machinists, and other employees involved in processing product. The position is responsible for scheduling all conventional production for both 1st and 2nd shift. Ability to plan and carry out daily agenda with limited supervision, management and leadership experience, highly developed organizational skills, ability to interact with employees at a variety of levels, excellent communication skills, rapid response to issues, attention to detail, ability to communicate with drivers on a routine basis. Must be willing to travel.

Job Description:
This position maintains a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of vehicles, both ground support equipment and street vehicles. He/She ensures proper use and care of physical assets, helps prevent equipment failures, controls costs, manages external vendor relationships, works closely with auto mechanics and internal customers, and performs regular equipment and facility audits. This position monitors fleet vehicle equipment maintenance. He/She maintains automotive cost effectiveness by identifying trends, monitoring key expense indices, and identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies. This position supervises mechanics within the department.
Responsibilities:
Schedules preventative maintenance inspections and reviews the results, monitors repairs, and performs vehicle audits to ensure mechanics adhere to safety, regulatory and appearance standards.
Analyzes equipment or vehicle system failures to determine root causes and resolve problems, and plans and coordinates equipment repairs with internal and external groups.
Ensures adequate inventory levels (e.g., parts, tires, etc.) to support business processes.
Adheres to purchasing limits, expense approval procedures, and equipment disposal guidelines to remain within cost plan.
Reviews and approves automotive expenses.
Determines employee training needs to produce continuous development plans.
Conducts performance evaluations and resolves individual and group performance issues.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of mechanical fundamentals, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair to vehicle or aircraft fleet operation
Ability to manage equipment repair and oversee the correction of problems with tools, machinery, and other standard technical equipment
Ability to manage inspections, physical assets, and working relationships with vendors
