Compensation
$85,000 - $100,000 annually
Responsibilities
Ensures that safe work procedures and safe work conditions are practiced and maintained; promotes proper safety and accident prevention attitudes
Responsible for optimum production rates from all clinker and cement production equipment; works with the laboratory to ensure all mills are operated within the standard quality parameters set, and directing flows to the appropriate finish or raw silo
Responsible for the accurate diagnosis of malfunctions on all systems; works with Maintenance Department in prioritizing and formulating course of action to correct such problems
Directs and supervises the deliveries of all bulk materials entering the plant; ensures that these deliveries are placed into the correct silo or appropriate storage area
Records shift events on log sheets, documenting all pertinent changes, or circumstances; reports major malfunctions to Production Superintendent
Administer the Company work rules in a fair manner; set standards for quality and quantity of work and initiate appropriate disciplinary measures when infractions occur
Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff
Ability to direct, motivate and coach activities of others
Ability to exercise sound judgment in problem-solving

Education
High school diploma or GED
Requirements/Qualifications
Requires 2 years of supervision experience
Thorough knowledge of cement production, safe work practices, and MSHA regulations
Excellent computer and organizational skills; willing to effectively learn Windows, Excel and other software
Ability to formulate decisions, makes and supports recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks
Ability to be cleared with federal ATF to transport, ship, receive or possess explosive materials
Task and project-oriented
Ability to work with all levels of management
Knowledge of all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement
Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility
Exercise independent decision-making, prioritize conflicting demands
Strong administrative, interpersonal, and communications skills
Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language, communicate positively with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels; ability to read and understand equipment manuals, company policy manuals and require government regulations
Must be able to see and hear safety indicators and warnings
Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground), climb stairs and ladders as high as 200 ft. in elevation; physically able to climb on equipment to provide supervision during work, walk long distances, climb ladders, stairs and stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces
Drive automobile to various plant sites and work locations; must be able to travel overnight (air/auto)
Preferred:
Working knowledge of SAP Production
Experience working with a union contract
Understanding of California state labor laws related to wage and hour
Experience working in a manufacturing or cement facility

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily quarry production activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and crushing
Ensure compliance with all MSHA/OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies and procedures
Monitor production metrics, report on performance, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime
Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of quarry equipment, ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance schedules
Support mine planning activities by coordinating extraction sequences and aligning production with long-term quarry plans
Manage stockpiles, inventory, and raw material flow to ensure consistent quality and supply for downstream operations
Coordinate and supervise blasting operations, ensuring proper handling of explosives and compliance with regulations
Conduct inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure quality standards and identify hazards
Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to quarry employees to develop skills and maintain high morale
Collaborate with plant, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure operational goals are achieved
Responsible for creating shift schedules, managing crew overtime assignments, arranging for vacation coverage, and approving employee timesheets
Fills in for the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Manager when that employee is on vacation
May be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as production demands dictate
Education
Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, geology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
Requirements/Qualifications
5+ years of experience in quarry, aggregates, or mining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Comprehensive knowledge of quarry equipment, production methods, and safety regulations
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in quarry management software, MS Office Suite, and data reporting tools
Requires regular presence in outdoor and industrial environments - Ability to work with exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions
Quarry Operations Management - Knowledge of quarrying processes, blasting, crushing, screening, and material handling

JOB SUMMARY
The Site Operations Manager is responsible for executing assigned office production metrics, development and management of a team of Operation Managers and maintaining positive communications with customers. The Site Operations Manager is responsible for managing salaried and hourly associates in several locations for optimal performance. The position reports to the District Operations Manager (DSOM) and oversees a specified site location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee production in assigned office to include; backlogs, aging report, and KPI's
Ensure that office is dispatching and resulting in a timely manner
Ongoing recruitment performed
Ensure that pad and warehouse inventory is accurate and runs efficiently
Identify key areas of opportunity for improvement and work to develop self and the team with a focus on continuous improvement.
Assign duties and recurring task to appropriate roles to ensure the office is properly following SOPs and company established best practices.
Ensure office scheduling capacity is optimized
Audit and count pad
Build and sustain relationship with The Home Depot associates and DSM by meeting regularly and proactively communicate with DSM when customer issue arises.
Visit local Home Depot stores a regular basis to ensure relationships are established
Expedited care tickets are responded to immediately. Work with THD and customer for resolution.
Answer and respond to inquiries from the RCS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and possess vehicle insurance.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the company
Strong customer service skills, ability to provide a positive and professional experience
Ability to lead teams to accomplish common goals
Ability to juggle competing priorities and adapt to unique situations.
Strong computer skills
Ability to travel to field offices, jobsites, and The Home Depot stores
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience in a production environment and supervisory role building teams and improving teams
Background in floor covering and/or understands construction
Previous experience in residential construction a plus
