Job Description The Claims Analyst will support the Risk Management/Quality Department in analytical, reporting and record keeping functions. The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze each cargo claim based on investigation findings and documentation to determine claim validity to for best resolution. The Claims Analyst aids the Cargo Claims Manager in achieving the department's goals and initiatives. Job Duties Manage cargo claims; gather all facts concerning a claim and provide direction to facilitate claim resolution by working directly with claim adjusters, internal/external legal counsel, industry consultants and insurance companies to mitigate losses and ensure claims are resolved in a timely, cost effective manner Investigate the nature of the incident, collect all necessary documents, determine claim validity, determine and communicate resolution Track and report outstanding claims, determining equitable settlements and managing daily work queues. The Dispatcher utilizes United Road's proprietary system (OVISS), Central Dispatch website and other members of the United Road Team to dispatch vehicles in a timely manner. A high degree of effort is required to dispatch and manage United Road's carrier base for the success of each vehicle movement in a timely manner as well as with a profitable margin. This specific job is for a 5 car hauler trailer. Pay for Experienced Auto Haulers and trainees that have completed the trinaing program: Compensation is paid at $1.01 per mile and $6.40 per vehicle (broke down as $3.20 loading pay and $3.20 unloading pay) for all loads over 350 from origin to destination. Compensation will be paid at $1.35 per mile and $10 per vehicle (broke down as $5 loading pay and $5 unloading pay) for all loads under 350 miles. Mileage is calculated based off loaded miles. Given that most loads out of New Boston are short haul, they will mostly pay $1.35 per mile. There is a minimum load pay of $75 for the 5 car trailer, regardless of mileage. Pay for Training Program: The training program will last somewhere between 6-8 weeks. The first 4 weeks will take place in Toledo, OH and all trainees are welcome to travel home for the weekend to see family. The remaining weeks will take place in the field (area to include midwest to east coast).
