The EHSS Officer is responsible for protecting employees, property, and company assets by monitoring security systems, including CCTV, access control, and dispatch operations, as well as conducting physical patrols. This role responds to all safety and security-related calls, investigates incidents, and prepares detailed reports on findings. The officer collaborates with internal departments on safety and security events and works closely with Human Resources and Legal to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Incident Response and Investigation - respond to and document safety incidents, near misses, security breaches, alarms, and suspicious behavior.
Respond to alarm calls on campus while communicating to emergency services.
Respond and provide medical assistance to all medical emergencies and administer First Aid/CPR
Report Writing - documenting safety/security incidents, observations, and daily logs.
Maintains situational awareness, focus and responsive readiness in a dynamic environment.
Safety Inspections - inspect facility, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance.
Emergency Preparedness - respond to alarms, evacuation drills, first aid readiness, and communicating with emergency services.
Coordinates with Emergency Services and Law Enforcement to ensure timely response and effective communication during incidents and routine operations.

Requirements
Keying/Typing, sitting, standing, walking.
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Job Summary:
The Corporate Security Guard will work to maintain the safety and security of the BJ's corporate office. The guard is responsible for monitoring to physical security and safety of the facility. Individuals must be able to utilize CCTV, Access Control & Visitor registrations systems and be able to regularly evaluate potential threats and take mitigation steps to maintain a high level of security. Ensure the safety of all team members, vendors, and visitors working in the facility.
Follow all security post orders and direction from the Corporate Security Manager.
Always maintain a professional appearance by wearing the proper uniform and maintain tools, such as radios, in good working order.
Work closely with home office teams to maintain security and safety during all onsite events.

Required Qualifications:
3+ experience working as a Security Manager, Police Officer, Detective, or other security/police experience.
Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Working knowledge of security technology such as CCTV systems and Access Control Systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Job Conditions:

The responsibility of the Security Officer is to perform security related activities. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting in the security of the distribution center including keeping all SCC walkways and stairs clear of snow, ice and debris when needed Asset protection of trailer yard and controlling access to all premises Ensuring 100% accuracy of all trailer check-in, check out and signature logs Conducting routine security checks of trailer yard and property. The Assistant Special Security Officer maintains listings of available SCI electrical and hard copy products, validates product requirements, and ensures dissemination to authorized users.
The ASSO reviews all derogatory information from the local supporting military law enforcement agency involving SCI-indoctrinated personnel and takes appropriate action.
Evaluates SCI risk and recommends appropriate countermeasures.
The ASSO creates standard operating procedures for operations involving the use or transport of classified and SCI material.
The ASSO conducts SCI indoctrinations and debriefs for command personnel and Contractors working at MCTSSA.
Reports security violations and Practices Dangerous to Security (PDS) per DoD 5105.21-M.
The ASSO manages PWSs and material submittals for construction and electronic systems contracts in support of SCIF accreditation/remodel actions.
Coordinates with the cognizant Security Authority for pre-con and final fixed facility checklists, construction security plans, and modification security plans.
The ASSO prepares and revises, as needed, all physical accreditation paperwork, to include the fixed facility checklists.
The ASSO develops and disseminates guidance to units on escort procedures/requirements for Contractors and ensures compliance through on-site visits.
The ASSO conducts SCI physical and technical security (Telecommunications Electronics Material Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions (TEMPEST)/Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)) actions.
The ASSO assists in providing overall physical security and ensures that all current and future SCIFs comply with the physical security standards outlined in Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 all other applicable directives and established policies.
The ASSO conducts an annual SCIF self-inspection and maintains records of these self-inspections for a period of 3 years.
Maintains appropriate accreditation documentation for the MCTSSA SCIF, communications system, and information systems under the MCTSSA and System Command's security cognizance.
Obtains approval from DIA/DIA Counterintelligence and Security Activity (DAC) for SCIF modifications. Notifies DIA/DAC of changes to SCIF security posture (e.g., fire, explosion, natural or other disasters).
Coordinates and include SCIF security in the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
Requests and coordinate TSCM surveys with Office of Special Investigations (OSI).
Conducts penetration exercises annually and alarm tests semiannually and records the events in a logbook.
The ASSO coordinates with local Provost Marshal's Office and provides rosters of individuals responsible for the overall security of the facility and performs as System Administrator for the SCIF Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System.
Performs SCI security support functions and access to the SCI network systems located within the SCIF.
The ASSO responds to and troubleshoots after-hours alarm issues when required.
The ASSO opens and secures SCIF spaces in accordance with standard operating procedures, DoD.

The Security Specialist Journeyman level independently supports Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security administration. The Journeyman Level Security Specialist performs security and administrative management of assigned SCI and SAP. The Journeyman Security Specialist considers all aspects of security, to include personnel security, physical security, operations security, communications security, and associated oversight.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Journeyman Security Specialist shall provide daily support to the appointed Special Security Representative (SSR) or Government SAP Security officer (GSSO) to fully implement all applicable enhanced security policies and procedures.
The Journeyman SS shall perform Visitor Control duties by greeting and documenting all visitors according to facility security procedures, including but not limited to customers, tour groups, base public works, inspectors, and maintainers. The Journeyman SS shall monitor and control access to facility(s) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, Common Access Cards (CAC) and validating security clearances utilizing DISS or other security database systems and visit requests. The Journeyman SS shall maintain facility visitor logs.
Prepare and process visit request documentation packages.
Perform visitor escort duties for assigned facilities and events and support the coordination and training of additional escorts as required for each event.
