The Work Control Service Order Dispatcher will support APTIM Federal Services by successfully receiving, recording, and distributing a wide variety of Demand Maintenance Orders (DMO) in a call center environment, while utilizing systems including Maximo, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and Army Maintenance Activity (ArMA). + Records caller information and the service requested to input DMOs in Maximo, GFEBS, and ArMA.
+ Prioritizes DMOs based on level of urgency and service requested.
+ Assists with converting Individual Job Order (IJO) 4283 into a DMO service order.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must meet all medical and physical standards and satisfactorily complete background checks, psychological and drug screening

Ability to handle filing and other administrative duties.
Successful completion of Critical testing may be required prior to hire (provided by company)

GENERAL FUNCTION/DUTIES:

Receive, review and transmit emergency-related and law enforcement-related communications by operating emergency 9-1-1 communication systems, computer systems, telephone networks, and a worldwide police telecommunications system in order to disseminate information on emergencies, answer complaints, and transmit broadcast orders to coordinate the dispatching of public safety personnel. Provide information via communications systems to coordinate the activities of emergency and other public safety personnel who are engaged in responding to critical incidents and major threats to public safety and/or security such as natural disasters, fires, domestic abuse reports, emergency medical situations, psychological commitments, vehicle pursuits, surveillance, searches, safety hazards, etc.,

Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting safe, proper shuttle operations through scheduling, employee communication, and shift management.
Schedule vehicles and drivers for fixed route service; cover open shifts on short notice when necessary.
Working knowledge of basic office equipment, such as phone, fax, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products-Word and Excel.
Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
Possess a valid DOT Medical Card to be carried at all times, while on duty.
Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Courteously assist customers and employees alike by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
Facilitate monthly driver meetings, company training requirements, and changes to daily operating procedures as necessary. Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of field operations, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the service area.
Assist Facility Managers with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education Required: High School Degree or equivalent.
License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or week-ends
may
be required.
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, write, speak and communicate all aspects of job related information in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the company.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract. Ability to understand and adhere to Hours of Service regulations, including frequent calculations involving quarter hours.
Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Salary Range: $17.00 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Schedule, route, and dispatch service technicians
* The service coordinator will create and compile the schedule for 15 to 30 service technicians daily in several different locations
* Acts as liaison between clients and company, ensure contracted services are scheduled and completed.
* Answers client and customer questions and notify clients of scheduled services
* Addresses and resolves any issues and complaints
* Reports problems and unresolved issues to manager or account manager
* Devises ways to improve customer service and client relationships
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
* Must be able to speak with customers by phone to determine the problem and the solution
* This is a very detail oriented, customer focused position
* We have a very fast paced days so be ready to juggle heavy phone volume, emails, as well as directing employees throughout the day.
* This position can wear many different hats during the day and being able to switch from one to the other quickly and with a positive attitude
* You must be articulate, be able to keep you cool and give good clear direction to the team.
* Is capable of remaining patient and calm when dealing with frustrated customers or clients
* Previous office experience and/or service related position is important.
* Computer skills to operate a variety of software is necessary.
* Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to assist technicians scheduled for call duty in delivery of prompt, efficient service to after-hours customers.
