Responsibilities*
* Assemble and deliver meal trays following procedures for: suicide precautions, insulin orders, calorie counts, isolation precautions, special diets, allergy cross contamination, and recognize the medical implication for procedure non-compliance. Requires continuous standing through shift, repetitive hand motions, and grasping of items on trays.
* Deliver meal trays following procedures for: The Joint Commission requirement for utilizing two patient identifiers, proper hand hygiene procedures that include standard precautions and following Infection Prevention procedures for wearing protective equipment, as well as service excellence and recovery standards. Operate department provided iPads and cell phones to facilitate safe delivery and meal tray tracking. Requires continuous walking and pushing heavy carts.
* Perform tray retrieval using Infection Prevention protocol and universal precautions to reduce the spread of bloodborne pathogens, wearing personal protective equipment, and following proper ergonomic standards.
* Professionally communicate with Nursing and unit personnel, co-workers and the Manager on Duty.
* Follow standard recipes for portion control, follow ServSafe food safety procedures, and operate food service equipment safely.
* Follow serviceware and equipment sanitation standards in accordance with health code regulations, including proper use of chemicals.
* Utilize the CBORD application Food Management System for food production, Nutrition Services Suite for tray assembly, TrayMonitor module for tray delivery, and Tray Pick-up for tray retrieval.
* Work in an efficient and organized manner to successfully complete job duties within allotted time.
* Understand and practice safe food handling procedures.
* These positions require frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
Required Qualifications*

Work Schedule
This position is primarily responsible for assembling patient trays.

Part-Time Barista - Eagle's Nest

Set up coffee area at the beginning of day; brew coffees and teas Fill up ice cart for their stations Stock up coffee station (coffee and non-coffee products and supplies pertaining to the area) at the beginning and end of shift Prepare coffee shop orders Clean and sanitize areas/ dishes, take out the trash Open gates at the beginning of shift Stock up condiment bar and utensils out in the Dining Room Clean and sanitize counters in the FOH (coffee, salad bar, fountain drink, and register stations) Take orders and payments at the registers Run food from kitchen to pick up window Sanitize tables and take out trash at the dining room whenever needed Stock convenience store when needed. Check and set outdates aside With the help of BOH , prepare and set up salad bar weekly Service salad bar daily, checking for quality and refilling items as needed Basic prep work for salad bar items include: chopping lettuce, lunch meats, slicing vegetables Salad bar dishes Wash salad bar weekly Communicate maintenance issues to management Direct student working the same shift
Required Qualifications
High School diploma Must possess a positive, enthusiastic personality in dealing with University faculty, staff and student customers Must be detail oriented, reliable as well as a self-starter and work with little or no supervision Excellent stamina, occasional heavy lifting as well as being on feet for a long period of time Ability to work under pressure at peak service times
Preferred Qualifications
Barista experience is a plus, but not mandatory
