Lakeland's police officers have the primary responsibility of patrolling the grounds and buildings of the college campus to protect lives and property, discover or prevent crimes, enforce laws, investigate crimes, write reports, make arrests, and testify in court. This position is a vital part of the Campus Safety team and its mission to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. II. Duties and Responsibilities: Three Student Campus Safety Officers will be assigned to work seven days a week from 4:30 PM until 10:30 PM. One officer will be posted at the front desk of Downhour Hall, one at the front desk of North Hall, and one at the Campus Safety Office. The Officers stationed in these single sex dormitories will be responsible for monitoring activities in their respective building, enforcing all rules and regulations, and responding promptly to inquiries, room lockouts, disturbances, and emergencies.
