I enjoyed the purpose of my work and the people I served with.

Cons of working at United States Marine Corps

There was little to no work life balance. The hours worked were often times forced and pay did not match the extent of work that was performed. My quality of life was poor and work conditions were very tough.

The friendships and memories created out of being forced to go through hard times. These connections will last a lifetime and are worth more than any benefit of any job.

There was a sense of purpose while working for the USMC.

Cons of working at United States Marine Corps

Working for the military wasn't just a job, it was a way of life. There is also the fact that while in the military there are a lot of restrictions put upon you that you do not have as a civilian. It is very restrictive.

The actual work benefits were pretty good. Decent pay, a few weeks of vacation a year, healthcare.
