Before Focus, Gerardo was co-founder and chief technology officer at Clarity Telemanagement, where he led engineering and operation of unified communication services for retail and wholesale markets.

Gerardo received Midlands Business Journal's "40 under 40" Award, which recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs based on their contributions to their business and community. He earned his BS in computer science from Panamerican University of Costa Rica and BA in theology from the Baptist Theological Seminary of Costa Rica.
