Job DescriptionOphthalmic Technician: Freeport, IllinoisOur customer in Freeport, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will support patient care by assisting with eye exams, preparing patients and providers, and helping ensure each visit runs smoothly in a friendly, fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities of the Ophthalmic Technician: Bring patients back and prepare them for their eye exam. Take diagnostic images and perform initial vision screenings. Review and document patient medical histories accurately. Prepare and organize printed charts for the doctor. Communicate clearly and professionally with doctors, staff, and patients. Support clinic flow in a fast-paced setting while remaining attentive to patient needs. Remain on your feet for most of the shift and assist where needed. Travel to Stockton and Lanark locations as needed for coverage. Ophthalmic Technician Requirements and Qualifications: Prior healthcare or clinical experience is helpful but not required. Willingness to learn and be trained on the job. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment. Attention to detail and professionalism when working with patients. Reliable transportation for occasional travel between locations. Pay for Ophthalmic Technician: $15.50/hour.
