Pros to working here would be the benefits, PTO, sick time, floating holidays & 401k matching. The ability to be hybrid is nice. Occasionally they buy lunch for employees.
Micomanagment, favoritism, gatekeeping progress and being stagnant. They say there is room for growth and opportunities but when you apply for them you will be denied time and time again. You will feel trapt in customer service with the dying itch to get out. You could do 500 things right and you will be hounded for any mistake you make. It will go out in a massive chain email so the whole department, Q&A and supervisors will be aware of it. Excessive 1 on 1 meetings where you get deflated over and over. They cherry pick the worst calls you have and you hardly get kudos unless a customer wants to leave your sup a voicemail. The customers will belittle you, curse at you and tell you how expensive their bills are on a daily basis. This will be in addition to things out of your control or nothing to do with you! In the job description. A requirement should SAY the ability to be a punching bag over the phone 8 hrs a day is necessary. They should hold onto the reps they have that have the industry knowledge, ability to learn their ridiculous software and be able to do this daily with all the constant changes they have or system being "updated". Minimum $30 and hr or more should be compensated for having the soul sucked out of you. There is a constant revolving door here and I see why. They rely heavily on temps to replenish the bodies who don't get any benefits until directly hired on and pay less. You can replace people but you can't replace abilities!!!
PTO, SICK TIME, FLOATING HOLIDAYS
CEO doesn't care about customer service just his salary. He will say CS is the body and soul but won't reward you for it. It goes in his pockets.

I didn't need to prepare. I went in convinced I was getting the job.
