The Care Companion Caregiver is responsible for client satisfaction by assisting them with activities of daily living, providing companionship, and performing light housekeeping duties. The caregiver also helps with simple meal preparation, socialization, and client transport. Schedule: Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, with availability required every other weekend. We can be flexible with your schedule; however, hours need to be consistent week to week. The role is roughly 10-15 hours per week. Pay: Based on prior caregiving experience, between $16.44-$24.65 per hour Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to follow client and Care Companions directions Ability to be on time to visits and complete tasks as scheduled. Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and cooperatively with others. Must have compassion for Care Companions clients and a desire to help others. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours a week, including every other weekend (this would include a Saturday and Sunday consecutively). Ability to complete all training and pre-employment background checks within required deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality about clients, families, caregivers, support staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property. Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions. Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs.
