Essential Duties
* Professionally and courteously manage all incidents that may directly or indirectly affect the safety of all individuals the police officer comes in contact with, including but not limited to University guests, students, and employees, and provide for and promote the delivery of safe and competent police services
* Be physically capable to perform all fundamental police duties of a Police Officer, to include serving and protecting the community and safeguarding lives and property
* Enforce the law in terms of all constitutional requirements, federal, state and local statues and regulations, Pennsylvania case law, and the rules of criminal procedure

This position requires coordinating and managing communications among campus safety personnel, monitoring dispatch systems to ensure timely and accurate information flow and responding to emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism, efficiency, and composure.
This position is essential to maintaining the safety, security, and wellbeing of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Dispatcher will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while supporting the University's commitment to a safe and welcoming environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
Essential Duties:
* Serve as a designated Campus Security Authority (CSA) in compliance with the Clery Act.
* Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
* Gather accurate details during interactions to ensure timely and appropriate safety responses.
* Operate and manage CAD (computer-aided dispatch), video management, card access, alarm systems, and key control.
* Use two-way radios to dispatch personnel and coordinate responses effectively.
* Work closely with University departments and external agencies to coordinate incident response.
* Manage multiple responsibilities in both high-stress and routine situations.
* Troubleshoot minor issues with dispatch systems and related technology.
* Contact police, fire, or medical services when required.
* Participate in emergency drills and exercises to maintain operational readiness.
Secondary Responsibilities:
* Work flexible or additional shifts as needed to support department operations.
* Support the Office of Campus Safety during University athletic events, ceremonies, and special functions.
* Manage Campus1Card system functions and distribute parking permits.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned or directed to support departmental needs and align with the mission, values and goals of the Office of Emergency Management/Campus Safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education/training and experience required):
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license.
* Prior experience in customer service or a security-related role.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage professionally with diverse populations.
* Proficiency in operating computers, two-way radios, and dispatch/security equipment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to tactfully and effectively communicate with the university community and colleagues.

* Successful completion of background checks including PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI clearance.

* Ice Machine: Move ice mountain during your entire shift. Fill bags appropriately for injuries. Instruct athletes how to properly make bags and self-wrap, if able. Empty scoop tray water periodically.
* Filing: Always check 'To Be Filed' bin and update equipment issue cards and injury files.
* Restock Supplies: This includes the taping areas, jars on counters, and modality supplies. Check for supplies needed from the storage room. Make a list of supplies needed and give the list to AT staff. Do this before and after the high use times for taping (2:30-4:30pm). Keep these areas organized.
* Cleaning: Regularly sweep and dust the facility, wipe down tables after each patient, wipe counters, rehab equipment, etc. as needed. Sweep and vacuum as needed. Generally, keep the facility CLEAN!! Remember this is a MEDICAL FACILITY.
* Laundry: Bag laundry and take it to laundry room as needed. Fold laundry and roll wraps when laundry returns. Use in-room laundry equipment as directed only. Put all clean/folded laundry away in its proper location.
* Team Medical Kits: Restock team medical kits at the beginning of each season and as needed when dropped off by coach. Take medical kit back to the coaches office after it is restocked.
* Games: Be 10 to 15minutes early for game assignments. Help prepare for games as instructed. Help with all duties. No one is above the minor details. Follow instructions to help procedures run efficiently. Make sure all sports medicine items are taken out to the events and that all items return post event. Clean and dry coolers after events and return them to their proper storage place.
* Taping and Treatment Tables: Tables and pillows should be cleaned on a regular basis. Pillows and other treatment articles are to be returned to their proper place after each use.
* Modalities: Clean all modalities and replace parts neatly. Modalities, such as electric stim. and ultrasound, must not be used by any student if properly instructed student may set patient up ONLY staff Ats may turn on equipment.
* Biohazard Materials Follow Department's Blood Borne Pathogen policy at all times. Remember when dealing with biohazard materials to wear gloves and dispose in proper container.
* Rehabilitation: supervise and Instruct with cues athletes on the proper techniques of stretching and rehabilitation as well as correcting improper techniques. The student may provide cues as to the progression of assigned rehabilitation exercises.
* Rules: Enforce all room rules, regulations and procedures. Each sports medicine staff member is expected set a good example of all rules and professionalism on and off the field ensuring a caring workplace free from hostility, discrimination or ridicule.
* Game/Practice Preparation: Review your sport set-up sheet for both daily practice and games prior to your scheduled shift. Check with AT staff for any changes due to weather, etc. The student who is scheduled last each day should gather all the necessary supplies for the next days contests BEFORE to closing the facility for the evening.
* Room Closing: The sports medicine aide scheduled last is responsible to see that all tasks on the 'Closing Athletic Room' sheet are completed before they leave.

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance and operation of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems associated with University facilities
Essential Duties
* Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance to all installed heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems associated with University facilities
* Maintain installed heating, cooling and ventilation systems and repair defective components such as valves, piping, controls and sensors, relays, pumps, motors and fans
* Replace or repair defective major equipment and components associated with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and ducting, ventilation and refrigeration systems
* Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and apply appropriate trouble shooting skills
* Inspect, test, and troubleshoot HVAC systems using appropriate tools, test equipment and automated control systems; assist the Electrical/Mechanical Supervisor in planning and developing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance plans for HVAC systems
* Proficient working knowledge of Johnson, Siemens and Honeywell HVAC control systems and associated computer access devices
* Install, repair and calibrate HVAC pneumatic control thermostats, controllers and relays
* Perform repairs to commercial and industrial water heaters
* Document the completion of assigned work orders and notify supervisors of any abnormal or unusual defects associated with facilities and/or equipment; report all safety deficiencies discovered in the performance of your duties directly to your supervisor
* Communicate with peers and supervisory personnel as necessary to complete assigned work orders
* Assist and coordinate HVAC repairs with other Physical Plant personnel as needed to complete assigned work orders
* Adhere strictly to all confined space, electrical safety, lockout/tag out, general safety and good safety practices and procedures in the performance of assigned duties; ensure all tools, equipment and instrumentation used in the performance of your duties is safe and operated in accordance with accepted safety guidelines
* Perform basic plumbing repairs in the event of an emergency
Additional Skills Required
* Good communication skills, with the ability to express ideas
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Ability to interact daily with faculty, staff and students concerning work issues and requests
* Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds; may have to occasionally lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
* Maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
* Maintain current CPR certification level.
* Must be available to provide emergency assistance when climate control repairs are deemed necessary or in support of designated University events
* Ability to work overtime and/or shift adjustments at times to insure that electrical staffing is available to carry out designated electrical work in support of emergency repairs and/or events.
* Respond to after normal working hours emergencies as the designated On-Call HVAC Mechanic in accordance with the promulgated watch bill and be capable of responding to an after hour emergency within one hour of notification
