Job Summary:
UDC is seeking a highly skilled Analytical Research Scientist to join the Analytical & Thermal Application Team at our Tech and Innovation Center in Ewing, NJ. This role will serve as the primary technical lead for ICP‑MS analysis of OLED emitter, host, and intermediate materials. The scientist will be responsible for method development, trace‑level quantification, contamination studies, instrument performance oversight, and cross‑functional technical guidance.
In addition to ICP‑MS, the position will support the comprehensive analytical characterization of organic electronic materials using advanced chromatographic and mass‑spectrometric techniques. The scientist will collaborate closely with synthetic chemistry, process engineering, and device teams to provide high‑quality analytical data and technical insight.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for ICP‑MS instrumentation, trace‑metal analysis workflows, and contamination‑control strategies.
Develop, optimize, and validate ICP‑MS quantitative methods for ultra‑trace elemental analysis of organic and organometallic compounds.
Own sample preparation protocols, including acid digestion, microwave digestion, and solvent‑compatibility approaches tailored to small‑molecule OLED materials.
Conduct data modeling, spectral interference correction, and isotopic pattern interpretation.

Apply advanced chromatographic techniques (HPLC, UHPLC) and mass spectrometry (LC‑MS, GC‑MS, MALDI) to study purity, molecular identity, and impurity profiles of OLED materials.
Develop multidimensional analytical approaches by integrating ICP‑MS with chromatographic separations, when needed.
Interpret complex spectra and chromatograms to provide mechanistic insight into impurity formation or material degradation pathways.
Communicate analytical findings through detailed technical reports and participate in cross‑functional scientific reviews.
Operational & Cross‑Functional Responsibilities
Maintain accurate documentation of methods, sample histories, instrument logs, and analytical results.
Guide junior scientists and technicians, in proper analytical techniques and laboratory best practices.
Support quality control workflows, sample inventory, and analytical readiness for development milestones.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts for analytical capability expansion.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field
Hands‑on expertise with ICP‑MS (≥2 years), including method development, trace‑metal quantification, and spectral analysis
Demonstrated experience with sample digestion, interference correction, and elemental speciation
Strong technical background in modern chromatographic and mass‑spectrometric techniques
Knowledge of organic small‑molecule systems, organometallics, or organic electronic materials (preferred)
Experience performing in a high‑precision analytical laboratory environment
Proficiency with scientific software for data processing (e.g., Origin, Mnova, MassHunter, Python, or similar)
Ability to independently design experiments, troubleshoot complex analytical problems, and document results thoroughly

Job Summary
UDC's Corporate Paralegal will report to UDC's VP, Deputy General Counsel and provide comprehensive legal and administrative support as part of a highly collaborative team. This role is responsible for assisting with governance, securities, commercial contracting, and compliance initiatives.
This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day operations and manage legal risks and will support both U.S.-based and international clients and operations as well as members of the UDC legal team. Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Contracting
Draft, review and manage agreements and amendments under attorney supervision, with an emphasis on NDAs, supplier contracts, consulting arrangements, and intercompany agreements.
Build out and maintain contract template repository and assist with contract lifecycle tracking and renewals.
Ensure proper execution, filing and organization of legal agreements and documents.
Compliance

Qualifications

This role is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, labeling, and packaging optical substrates, as well as providing support to the coating department on an as needed basis. Approx. 70% of the time will be SPC data collection including measuring, inspecting & cleaning optical crystal surfaces, packaging & labeling. The other 30% will be used for providing tech support to the coating department. Duties include cleaning & fixturing crystals to be coated, testing for reflectivity, and possibly labeling, packing & closing out the WO on the system. Responsibilities are listed below:
SPC data collection
Measuring dimensions of crystals
Determine if component surface quality is fully compliant to a drawing or specification
Perform orientation testing and verification of crystals
Follow ISO procedures and policies
Preparation of optical substrates for thin film disposition
Loading crystals into fixtures; clean & inspect under a microscope
Unload coated crystals from fixtures & inspect surface quality under a microscope per ANSI, Mil standard or ISO.
Inspect and final clean per production schedule
Perform NCR for rejected parts
Pack & label per specification or customer requirement
Close WO out on system in preparation for shipment
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
3+ years previous experience in material inspection
Demonstrated ability to see and handle small parts
Previous experience using a microscope
Must be able to work on repetitive tasks
Familiar with calipers & using tweezers
Basic data entry skills
Willing/able to work in a cleanroom environment, fully gowned
Willing/able to work with minimal exposure to chemicals such as, methanol and isopropanol
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in an optics manufacturing environment or similar technical training
Some college in physics, chemistry, engineering and/or math
Experience in optics cleaning and inspection
Experience in optical coating technologies
Familiar with ZYGO instrumentation

THE ROLE:
As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex failures at a system level, including interactions between hardware, firmware, and environmental factors. THE ROLE:
The Quality Returns Debug Team is looking for an experienced GPU PCBA Debug and Failure Analysis Engineer who will work with our engineering functions to perform board level (PCBA) failure analysis on customer and factory failures of GPU Accelerators to reproduce reported failures, isolate the cause of failure and work closely with cross-functional teams including design, validation, FW and manufacturing to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Strategic Key Account Manager to AMD's largest top-tier Corporate/Enterprise customers in the region

THE ROLE:
As a Sr. Thermal Engineer in the Data Center Platform Engineering (DPEG) Thermal Mechanical Engineering department, you will be responsible for the thermal Design and validation for the AMD Data Center GPU products in this expanding and strategic market for AMD. To accomplish this, you will need to interact with other key engineering teams such as silicon design, boarding engineering, validation, and manufacturing within AMD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sr. Thermal Engineer in the Thermal Mechanical Engineering team will be responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of thermal and/or mechanical solutions for the GPU and associated platforms. The successful candidate will have a thermal and mechanical development background with silicon level or system level experience. They will integrate into a global development team in delivering commercially viable products (silicon to systems) to the marketplace in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Some of the key responsibilities will include
* Thermal validation of thermal-mechanical hardware at chip, card and system level
* Contribute to the overall product cycle from conceptualization through mass production
* Work in a dynamic and fast-paced product development environment
* Develop and execute test plans for heat sinks, cold plates, and server-level cooling solutions.
* Perform air / liquid flow and pressure drop measurements, temperature mapping, and thermal stress tests.
* Drive process improvements while executing fast time-to-market on products.
* Analyze test results to identify thermal bottlenecks and propose design optimizations.
* Generate detailed reports and present findings
REQUIREMENTS:
The selected candidate will use his/her proven technical skills to ensure the engineering team continuously innovates, uses 'best practices', and adds value for its customers. Key qualifications required include:
* Strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics with emphasis on electronics thermal management.
* Datacenter server and rack level thermal test experience is preferred
* Experience with validation of liquid cooled systems including component and system level test.
* Understanding of thermal management design elements including TIM, spreaders, heat sink, vapor chamber, heat pipe, and fan.
* CFD - Experience with CFD for liquid cooled systems with Icepak , Flotherm etc is desired.
* CAD - Experience with SolidWorks and/or Creo is required. Ability to implement liquid cooling designs in Creo or SolidWorks for CFD analysis is a plus.
* Lab Skills - Experience with Design of Experiments, instrumentation, data acquisition and data analysis is required.
* Ability to write scripts in programming languages (i.e. Python, LabView etc.) for data analysis & tool development
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
