+ Work with Quality Assurance Department as assigned by Research Engineer and be familiar with all Q.A. procedures and tests. This could involve helping the Quality Assurance Department examine suspect raw material or finished product.
+ Run necessary errands to pick up or deliver materials, samples, etc.
**Qualifications**
+ Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in materials testing or analysis, is a plus.
+ Ability to work accurately and meticulously, paying close attention to detail.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test results and identify potential issues.
+ Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and analytical methods related to refractory materials desired.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Maintain media and reagents as needed for daily microbiological testing
Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements
Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal
Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, running media controls, etc.
Independently pursue an assigned series of processes, procedures, or techniques in accordance with FSNS policies/procedures and customer requirements
Maintain laboratory condition, to include equipment, supplies, quality assurance programs, and accurate records throughout all procedures
Perform all activities in a neat, safe, hygienic, and efficient manner
Share information in an open, and timely manner
Assisting with managing priorities and schedule such that individual goals as well as team goals are achieved with encouraged participation in the Food Safety Net Services Team
Responsible for the safety of oneself and others working within their area

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
Associate degree in Life Science or two years of laboratory experience, preferred
Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory
Ability to travel is preferred
Or equivalent combination of education and experience

What you will be doing:

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Analytical Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests on raw materials, certifying finished products, and performing requested laboratory analyses. You will also ensure the proper maintenance and cleaning of laboratory instruments while adhering to all company safety requirements and policies. Responsibilities
Perform laboratory analysis on a variety of materials, including batch raw materials, glass, chemicals, and glass mineral wool final products.
Conduct tests to certify finished products and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports to support decision-making processes.
Maintain and clean laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Follow and actively participate in all company safety requirements, policies, and related documentation.
Assist Innovation team members with laboratory testing and other tasks as requested.
