Position Summary:
Candidate should possess skills necessary for effective communication; research and implementation of evidence-based practices; data analysis; achievement and maintenance of certification programs Candidate will be expected to complete training that will enable them to run and analyze a variety of reports that include: MIDAS Care Management; and Get with the Guideline. Monitor The Joint Commission Disease Specific Care for updates, CMS quality initiatives, and additional resource materials.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Serve as hospital designated Stroke Coordinator, attend all Code Neuro while in house, monitor compliance with documentation requirements, perform necessary follow up and education with staff when indicated. Conduct Quarterly Stroke committee meetings with committee.
* Support improvement of clinical outcomes through the development, implementation and refinement of best practices/processes centered around evidence-based practice for the care of all certification program patients, collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Utilizes American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines to stay current on maintaining certification.
* Provide program management overseeing the implementation and evaluation of initiatives to improve quality of care, including disease specific care certification, by collection and submitting reliable data to the indicated registries and/or database
* Serve as a role model, educator and resource to support professional development and raise community awareness to those areas achieving certification and recognition, ex: Stroke Care and chest Pain Center. Attends community education events representing St. Mary's and the Stroke program.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* BSN or BS equivalency in healthcare;
* minimum of 5 - 8 years of clinical experience;
* leadership experience preferred.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements is preferred.
* Within 3 years achieve advanced certification related to quality or regulatory compliance. Ex: CPHQ, or Stroke Certified (SC) RN

* Registered by the ARDMS in Vascular preferred; other registries a plus/benefit.
* Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.

* ARRT registry and/or RCIS or CVT registration required.
* BLS certification required.

* Demonstrates knowledge of IRF-PAI) Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument) and the Care Tool and their application in payment system for CMS.
* Administers evaluation tools and standardized tests according to established protocols; utilizes non-standardized probes for additional assessment as warranted to establish an appropriate plan of care adapting the plan of care to the individualized needs/goals of the patient/caregiver.
* Demonstrates knowledge and administers Modified Barium Swallow (acute/outpatient) evaluations and provides recommendations to physicians and nurses in verbal and written form.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, or in the process of completing the Clinical Fellowship Year, CFY.
* Holds or eligible for Oklahoma State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, or equivalent degree as designated by an accredited university.
* BLS required.
* First Aid certification preferred.
* A clinical internship in a hospital or rehabilitation setting during the master's degree program is recommended.

Responsibilities About st. mary's physician associates St. Mary's Physician Associates is a multi-specialty group of employed physicians and midlevel providers that serve a ten-county area in NW Oklahoma. It is located in Enid, Oklahoma which is the county seat for Garfield County. The group has satellite clinics in Hennessey, Fairview, Okeene, Woodward, and Ponca City. St. Mary's Physician Associates is affiliated with St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, a 229-bed facility. The Hospital has been recognized as an "A" rated facility by the Leapfrog Group, has obtained The Joint Commission Advanced Primary Stroke Center certification and the first hospital in Oklahoma to obtain Advanced Total Joint Replacement certification. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with SMPA guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Job Functions:
* 20% Team Responsibilities:
* Participates in decision-making and process improvement.

* Assist with daily clerical operations, including answering multi-phone lines and making copies of documents as necessary.
* Accurately files patient charts; including scanning documents into files as necessary.
* Schedules patient appointments as necessary, return visits and Specialists.
* Other duties as assigned
* 80% Clinical Responsibilities:
* Ensures that patient rooms, nursing station and storage rooms are kept stocked, clean, manages product expiration date; ensures all equipment is kept clean according to infection prevention standards.
* Distributes referrals as necessary to physicians and insurance companies; keep proper documentation of referral requests/responses in patient charts.
* Pre-authorize prescriptions and clinical tests (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.) as necessary.
* Phone/faxing patient prescriptions as necessary.
* Schedules Diagnostic Imaging studies BMDs dietician appointments, cardiology testing, and radiology testing for patients, and completes all appropriate paperwork.
* Contacts patients with lab results and sends letters to patients as necessary.
* Accurately performs clinical duties to include triaging patients, checking patient vitals, administering injections and venipunctures, and prepping patients for physician exam.
* Accurately performs a variety of clinical testing, including EKG, PFT, PAP, CLIA waived lab tests, ear irrigations, 02 sats, vision/color charts, and urinalysis/hemocult tests according to physician orders: Maintains QC logs per CLIA guidelines
* Labels patient specimens and completes lab slips accurately; separates lab slips monthly.
* Thoroughly and accurately complete patient information forms prior to physician meeting with patient; assist physician with chart as necessary.
* Adheres to SMPA Safety and Quality guidelines
Qualifications
Requirements:
* High school diploma/or equivalent
* Medical Assistant Certificate - must obtain within 6 months of employment
* Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion, or 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
* Familiarity with medical terminology required
* Knowledge of general medical office procedures
* Proficiency in basic computer skills, and Microsoft office
* Operate office equipment
* Operate EKG machine
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
* Perform courteously and professionally
* May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases
* Occasionally subject to irregular hours
* May be required to wear PPE as necessary
* Must be able to handle emergency or crisis situations
* Must be able to see with corrective eye wear
* Must be able to hear clearly with assistance
