Responsibilities MentalHealth Tech Full Time Day Shift 7am-730pm Do you have a passion to work in behavioral health? No experience necessary, we will train the right candidate! MentalHealth Techs conduct safety checks on patients, facilitate educational groups, assist nurses in the admission and discharge process, and support patients with one-on-one sessions daily.
Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio. We serve adult patients 18 years of age and older that need mentalhealth and chemical dependency services. Inpatient offerings include treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization as well as mentalhealth crisis management.
Our outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs which allow patients to develop and utilize proper coping mechanisms to help establish a foundation for life. Additionally, we offer a Relapse Prevention Program along with a Medication Administration Program to support patients in maintaining lifelong sobriety.
Qualifications
Education: We will consider:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in psychology, sociology or similar field OR
* Associate's degree in psychology, sociology or similar field with related experience OR
* CDCA from the State of Ohio with related experience prefered
This is an entry-level position, but proper customer service skills are required.
Previous experience in a mentalhealth or substance abuse treatment facility preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct care and support to patients in a residential behavioral health setting.
