The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Agency Representative.
The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Manager is to manage resolution of patient complaints and to follow up on insurance and patient accounts. Manages the customer service staff and the customer service workflow to assure effective and efficient resolution patient account issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* This position must be proactive, assertive and articulate knowledge and understanding of payer claims processing philosophies.
* Guides individuals internally and externally to desired outcomes.
* Develops strong working relationships with major payers to assure timely resolution of claims processing issues.

* Counsels staff with productivity, work and disciplinary actions.
* Monitors productivity standards at the individual level and directs staff in meeting departmental goals and objectives
* Mentors and coaches staff by providing on-going training as necessary to assure communication of common issues/concerns

The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Pre-Services Specialist.
The Pre-Services Specialist is responsible for taking inbound calls, making outbound calls, timely and accurately scheduling and pre-registering patients in the SMS and Cerner systems.
The Pre-Services Specialist will also be responsible for attempting to collect co-pays and deductibles from patient at the time of pre-registration.
This position is also responsible for interpreting managed care contracts; Medicare regulations; medical and anatomy terminology and applying the knowledge to the scheduling and registration process.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Perform scheduling, pre-registration and if needed insurance verification within 24 hours of receipt of reservation/notification for both inpatient and outpatient services
* Contact physician to resolve issues regarding prior authorization or referral forms
* Research patient visit history to ensure compliance with the Medicare 72 hour rule and complete the Medicare Secondary payer questionnaire and ABN as applicable
* Contact patient in a timely and courteous manner to confirm or obtain missing demographic information in Invision PDIX, quote/collect patient payment and instruct patient on where to present at time of appointment
* Perform electronic eligibility confirmation utilizing HDX and calling insurances when necessary
* Work with facility departments and internal departments of the CBO to investigate and resolve issues associated with patient or insurance company inquiries
* Act as a liaison to the hospital departments in resolving issues and documenting accordingly
* Implements and follows system downtime procedures when necessary

The Admissions Liaison is responsible for providing service to a variety of customer groups, including but not limited to: physicians, allied health professionals, hospital emergency departments, community services boards, convenience care centers, other health care providers, schools, social service and mental health agencies, police, courts, employers and the public at large.
