Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Oishei Children's Hospital, and UBMD Pediatrics is actively recruiting for a full-time pediatric physician in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition. Under the leadership of Dr. Osama Almadhoun, Division Chief, the practice has an entire support group that cares for outpatients and inpatients, with a very active procedural area including endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and impedance pH probes. This program represents an important strategic component for the division and is one of the few Pediatric Gastroenterology practices in the Western New York area.
Responsibilities include the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, nutritional, hepatic and pancreatic diseases in children from birth through young adulthood in Western New York, the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania. The division is actively involved in the education of both residents and medical students, including lectures and teaching in the inpatient and the outpatient settings.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience in clinical medicine with specific expertise in the care of pediatric patients with all GI diagnoses including liver disease. Evidence of productive clinical or basic research will strongly support any candidate for the position.
UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians' Group, the single largest medical group in Western New York. We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents and adults. In addition to primary care pediatrics, we have 17 pediatric subspecialties. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology is committed to providing outstanding care for children of all ages from neonates to young adults, and across a range of surgical and nonsurgical specialties at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York (MS CHONY). These include general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, urology, cardiac surgery, and solid organ transplantation. Notably, MS CHONY is home to one of the nation's busiest pediatric liver transplant programs. The clinical acuity at the MS CHONY is the highest of all children's hospitals in the US. MS CHONY is an exclusively pediatric facility, with ten operating rooms, an endo/bronchoscopy suite, and a diagnostic/imaging suite. The division provides specialized care for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit and children in the pediatric critical care unit and directs a dedicated pediatric pain management program and regional anesthesia service. Many of the activities and services of the Pediatric Anesthesiology division are integrated with the recently created Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology division, which serves the largest pediatric cardiac surgical program in New York.
The division features a robust clinical program at MS CHONY, with ten operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, and three diagnostic and interventional imaging rooms. The division also provides specialized care in an active neonatal intensive care unit and operates a dedicated pediatric pain management program.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished physician with a strong record in clinical care, education, and scholarship in pediatric anesthesiology. The Division Chief will foster the scholarly activity of pediatric anesthesiology faculty and fellows, maintain the division's exceptional standards of clinical care, and promote collaborative relationships with surgeons, pediatricians, and other clinical teams.
This leadership role is supported by a dedicated group of 16 board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists (faculty), pediatric anesthesiology fellows, and trainees from the highly-rated Columbia University anesthesiology residency program. Extensive departmental resources, including a state-of-the-art simulation center, are available. As a Professor of Empire Innovation, the successful candidate must have an established record of securing funding from federal/state agencies and industry. They will be expected to lead in pursuing large funding opportunities from federal and state agencies besides industry partners and enhance the collaborative research ecosystem involving multiple campus units across Binghamton University. The successful hire would also help recruit and attract top talent to complement existing strengths.
Depending on the specialization and match, the successful candidate could be a tenured faculty in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department, the Mechanical Engineering (ME) Department, the School of Computing (CS), or the School of System Science and Industrial Engineering (SSIE).

The School of Social Welfare (SSW) in the College of Integrated Health Sciences at the University at Albany, State University of New York invites applications for one Associate or Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2026. SSW seeks colleagues who believe in the mission of public higher education and are committed to developing and maintaining a vigorous research program in their area of interest, teaching undergraduate, MSW and Ph.D. courses across modalities (in-person, hybrid, synchronous, asynchronous), and engaging in university and professional service appropriate to rank. The successful candidate should provide evidence of commitment to or experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds. There is a strong interest in attracting candidates with the qualifications and experience to contribute to the teaching of advanced clinical practice courses.
Teaching: Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent teaching abilities as evidenced by teaching evaluations and the development and delivery of course materials. Because this is a professional school, teachers prepare students for professional practice through the teaching of the profession's knowledge, skills, values, and cognitive and affective processes. Academic advising and mentoring are important components of the teaching portfolio. The courseload for faculty in the School of Social Welfare is 2 courses per semester. Faculty should be able to teach across all programs [undergraduate and graduate (MSW and Ph.D.)] Teaching includes weekly office hours, syllabi development and revision, development and maintenance of courses in the learning management system (Brightspace), and ongoing professional development in teaching and learning.
Research: Candidates are expected to undertake research, theoretical and/or empirical, and to disseminate that work in appropriate venues (i.e., publications in peer-reviewed journals, scientific and technical reports, and local, state, national, and international conferences). Engaged scholarship may be evidenced in the candidate's research, teaching, or service work. Engaged scholarship entails scholarly outputs that can be directly applied to social problems and issues faced by individuals, local communities, organizations, practitioners, and policymakers; its products will be considered alongside traditional, discovery-based research, engaged teaching, and/or service-oriented scholarly activities.
Service: Candidates are expected to provide service to the school, the university, the community, and/or the profession in support of the missions of the University, the College of Integrated Health Sciences, the School of Social Welfare, and the profession of social work writ large. Level of service is dependent on tenure track rank.

The Department of Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Albany invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer (10 Months) to teach within our online undergraduate Psychology degree program. The position will begin before January 21, 2026 (the first day of spring semester classes) for a one-year term appointment with the potential for renewal.
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching three online courses per semester (six courses per academic year), developing and delivering online course materials, contributing to the program's curriculum, mentoring and advising students, and enhancing student engagement in a virtual environment. Additionally, the candidate will participate in service at the departmental, college, and university levels. This position may include instruction in both introductory and advanced courses. The ability to teach courses in statistics and research methods is especially desirable.
Candidates must have a graduate degree in Psychology, extensive experience in online teaching, and a demonstrated appreciation for research. The ideal candidate will have experience with innovative online instructional strategies and certification in online instruction.
The Department of Psychology offers Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degrees with concentrations in Behavioral Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. The Department of Cybersecurity offers a wide range of courses covering a variety of topics including computer and network security, human factors, security architectures, and data analysis, artificial intelligence techniques. While our focus is primarily technical, we also emphasize the personal, organizational, policy, and legal aspects of cybersecurity. Successful applicants will receive teaching assignments based on course availability and the candidate's expertise.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
A master's degree in an Information Science, Informatics, technology, or related discipline from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department or an internationally recognized accrediting organization is required;
OR
A Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to cybersecurity from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department or an internationally recognized accrediting organization degree in an applicable field (or closely related disciplines) AND significant experience (e.g., industry, military, government).

Preferred qualifications:
A doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in an Information Science, Informatics, technology, or related discipline from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department or an internationally recognized accrediting organization.

The Department of Biological Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Albany invites applications for a full-time 10-month term appointed position at the rank of Lecturer to teach undergraduate biology courses, including microbiology. The position will commence in January 2026 and is renewable contingent upon successful performance and funding.
Generally, the successful candidate will teach one undergraduate microbiology lecture per semester as well as coordinate and supervise multiple laboratory sections. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in student mentoring and other service-related activities within the Department of Biological Sciences, the College, and the University.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Teaching: Educating students, mentoring them, and fostering their intellectual development, which includes teaching undergraduate courses and course preparation and development.
* Service: Contributing to the governance and functioning of the university, college, and department including participating in recruitment and retention activities, and mentoring students.

Job Requirements:
Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities. Sound knowledge of microbiological principles and techniques. Demonstrated approachability and contribution to organizational unit.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
* A Ph.D. or equivalent in biology, biological sciences, microbiology or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by August 15, 2026.
* One year of teaching experience in microbiology lecture with a laboratory at the undergraduate level
* Experience coordinating multiple laboratory sections
* Experience designing and coordinating a microbiology course suitable for both Biology majors and non-Biology majors
* Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community
* Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students in supervised research projects
* Experience supervising graduate teaching assistants and laboratory instructors
* Documented skills in modern bioinformatics methods

The Department of Mathematics at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Applied Mathematics, anticipated to begin fall semester 2026. We seek candidates with expertise in two or more of the following areas: mathematical modeling, computational mathematics, and stochastic processes. Completion of the Ph.D. is required prior to or shortly after the date of hire.
The successful candidate will enhance our advanced undergraduate applied mathematics courses, create research opportunities for senior students, and support introductory-level offerings. They will collaborate with colleagues to refine the applied mathematics curriculum, contribute to the department's research profile, and participate in Colgate's Liberal Arts Core Curriculum and other university-wide initiatives.

Salary Range or Pay Grade
The starting salary for this position is $94,800 for ABD candidates and $98,800 for candidates with a PhD in hand.
