EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license permitting operation of vehicles in Colorado required. Criminal Background Check required for hire. Has or is willing to obtain chemical application certification within 90 days of employment at the cost of the district.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I. The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I performs various maintenance and repair tasks on mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing), electrical systems, and building components to ensure a safe and functional living environment for students. Key duties include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, troubleshooting and repairing systems, using computerized maintenance systems and Building Maintenance systems adhering to safety regulations, often while working within different trades like carpentry, painting, and electrical. Operate, test, install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems, especially HVAC and plumbing, including water systems and their associated equipment. Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, filter replacements, and other tasks to ensure equipment reliability and performance. Perform a large range of lock and access control repair and maintenance. Perform a wide range of skilled maintenance and minor repair work on both the interior and exterior of buildings, including facilities in student housing areas. Perform maintenance and repair on low-voltage control systems and assist with higher voltage repairs as needed. Utilize computerized maintenance systems (CMMS) and building automation systems to document work, manage preventive maintenance, and track inventory. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Work requires thorough knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment and tools used in one skilled trade area; working knowledge of materials, methods, equipment and tools in related trade areas pertaining to facilities, systems, construction and renovation; thorough knowledge of generally accepted trade practices in trade specialty; working knowledge of computerized maintenance and building automation systems; working knowledge of applicable building and safety codes and regulations related to facilities, systems and renovations.
Must be able to demonstrate journey-level skill in one trade and strong skills in other applicable trades; operate construction and related equipment; use considerable judgment and discretion in performing duties; read, interpret and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications; make rough sketches; estimate cost, time and materials of maintenance, repair and renovation work; maintain records and retrieve data related to work performed using manual and/or computerized record-keeping systems; prepare standard reports; provide instruction to unskilled and semi-skilled assistants; analyze and respond to emergency situations; read and write at a level appropriate to the position; and perform arithmetic calculations as required by the position.
These abilities normally would be acquired through four years of increasingly responsible experience leading to journey-level skills in a mechanical or facilities/building trade, or any equivalent combination of training and experience as a facilities and systems mechanic which demonstrates the achievement of journey-level skills equivalent to that acquired through completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.

General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate skilled trades work, repairing and maintaining County rights of way, drainage ways and related facilities, operates a variety of motorized equipment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Division Chief or Operations Manager. Continuous supervision is exercised over inmates as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

Essential Functions

Performs routine head counts and searches inmates for contraband or unauthorized materials; maintains accountability and escorts inmates to and from work assignments.

Assists with seasonal or emergency roadway maintenance issues such as removal of debris from flooding and windstorms, snow removal and ice control.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited trade school in a related field is desirable and may substitute for up to two years of experience. Five (5) years experience in one or more of the following building maintenance trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure; to perform the four operations with like or common decimal fractions; to compute ratio and proportion, and percentage; to calculate surfaces, volume, weights, and measures.
Must have normal or corrected vision, good hearing, full use of both arms, hands and legs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, move and lift heavy objects, work in awkward positions and in tight quarters, and be in good overall physical condition.
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team. In this role, support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently. Will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance personnel, coordinating projects, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Delegate MaintenanceTechnician's work list and assure it is completed in a safe and timely manner.
Schedule groundskeeping as needed including mowing, trimming, spraying, snowplowing, and general site upkeep.
Oversee maintenance on most plant processing equipment including routine and preventative maintenance.
Schedule and order supplies as needed for new equipment installs and oversee site during installs.
Making sure all exterior and interior repairs are scheduled or completed as needed
Ensure all plant processes are operating mechanically to plant standards and expectations
Assist in planning of new equipment installs
Conduct bi-weekly safety meetings with maintenance personnel on various topics and document meetings with signatures from all attendees.
Perform any disciplinary action of maintenance employees as needed, along with scheduling and approving vacations and all other personnel issues.
Must pass all tests and verifications for: LOTO, pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, Ammonia system, confined spaces, and electrical safety (Arc flash)
Must possess a hands on approach with maintenance staff
Requisitions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong management skills with a focus on leadership and team development.
Proficient in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial automation systems.
Solid understanding of facilities management principles and practices.
Mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems, including high voltage applications.
Familiarity with project management methodologies to effectively oversee maintenance initiatives.
Experience in manufacturing environments, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of using tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
Previous supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCES:
Three to seven years related experience.
Basic Knowledge of computers
Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Degree preferred.
