MYRA DEGERSDORFF - EXPERIENCED HOSPITALITY EXECUTIVE As general manager and COO at the University Club of Memphis, Myra DeGersdorff leverages more than three decades of hotel and country club management experience to oversee day-to-day operations at the facility. She has served in this position since 2018, during which time she has reduced debt and consistently achieved benchmarkable financial results. Myra DeGersdorff leads a team of several other managers and directors and oversees event and program planning to increase member engagement. Ms. DeGersdorff has held leadership roles at Embodyment Salon & Spa, SUMS Global, Enchantment Resort, and Mii Amo Spa. She served as a luxury hotel general manager at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company from 2002 to 2009 and received the President's Award from the company. She was also named General Manager of the Year by Where Magazine in 2008. Ms. DeGersdorff managed The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans during this time and successfully rebuilt the hotel into a profitable business following Hurricane Katrina. Myra DeGersdorff also worked at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company from 1989 to 2001 and positions such as director of human resources and executive assistant manager. She was part of a team that received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1992 and 1999.
