Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging with proper patient positioning and radiation safety
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring accurate results and patient safety
Document procedures and manage imaging records in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Collaborate with clinical team members to support optimal patient care and satisfaction
Perform vital signs, triage, and assist with basic patient care tasks as needed
Support front office functions and ensure inventory and supplies are maintained
Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)-approved educational program
Current ARRT credentials in Radiography (R)
Certification in accordance with the state of Ohio

Interventional Radiology Technologists are sub-specialized, critical thinking caregivers that support the most cutting-edge therapies offered at Cleveland Clinic. In this role, you will assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided neurovascular procedures, including but not limited to diagnostic arteriography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization and thrombolysis. You will use fluoroscopic equipment to capture images of the cerebral vasculature. By doing so, you will be part of a team that not only diagnoses but treats a patient's neurovascular abnormality, significantly improving their quality of life. Taking on this opportunity will not only allow you to substantially advance your imaging skills but will also allow you to master new ones such as sterile technique and assisting with interventional procedures.
**A caregiver in this position will work full time days (M-F), 9:00am -5:30pm with rotating on-call responsibilities evenings, weekends and holidays.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
+ Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager, performs a variety of patient care duties to produce diagnostic imaging through the operation of radiographic equipment, utilizing proper technique.
Explains safety protocols, exams, and procedures to patients.
Operates fluoroscopic, portable, diagnostic, and other equipment as required.
Works as an independent contributor and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Engages in additional duties as assigned.
Assigned to one designated radiography area (Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency Room), but may be asked to cover in alternate locations or MGB sites (with appropriate training) should coverage needs arise to ensure a seamless and exemplary patient care experience.
Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within 90 days of hire.
Confirms correct patient and exam to be performed through patient confirmation and interview, patient history, medical record, appropriately modifying and documenting as needed to ensure accurate imaging and records. -Explains exam to patient, taking into consideration individual physical, emotional, and language needs; Ensures patient compliance and understanding.
* Adjusts equipment to correct settings for all exams to set automated and manual technical factors to safely image patients.
* Performs required imaging using the appropriate equipment according to department protocol and/or the Radiologist's request.
* Ensures exams are labeled correctly prior to transmission to PACS, and ensures images successfully arrive in PACS.

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.
**This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working varying shifts between 12:0 a.m. -- 12:00 a.m.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
+ Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
+ Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
+ Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
+ Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
+ Maintain documentation.
+ Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
+ Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
+ Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
+ Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
+ Basic Life Support certification
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
+ Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
