Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging with proper patient positioning and radiation safety
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring accurate results and patient safety
Document procedures and manage imaging records in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Collaborate with clinical team members to support optimal patient care and satisfaction
Perform vital signs, triage, and assist with basic patient care tasks as needed
Support front office functions and ensure inventory and supplies are maintained
Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)-approved educational program
Current ARRT credentials in Radiography (R)
Certification in accordance with the state of Ohio
Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Proficiency in EMR, PACS, and basic computer applications
Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and rotating holidays

Produces quality CT images in a variety of settings
Assisting with CT Guided Procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations
Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatients
Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.
On the spot critical thinking
Effective communication skills
Functions well under stress and with minimal supervision
Works well both independently and as part of the CT Team
Personnel CT Tech will work with:
The CT staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.

Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist , you will provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Some of your responsibilities will include acquiring images, processing images and providing emergency on call assistance.
A caregiver in this position works three 10 hour shifts 7:30am-6pm and one shift 12pm-10:30pm per week with weekend and holiday call requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
* Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol.
* Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
* Ensure patients safety and comfort during and after exams.
* Demonstrate understanding of primary purpose of drugs used in IR, indications, contraindications, contrast drug interactions and major effects.
* Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information.
* Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and effects timely repair.
* Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
* Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
* Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
* Basic Life Support certification
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
* One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
* Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy
* Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient.
**A caregiver in this position works days/on-call requirements, from 8:30am-5:00pm or 7:00am-3:30pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages.
+ Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment.
+ Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
+ Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
+ Assist in scheduling patients.
+ Monitor and determine priority of patients.
+ Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
+ Demonstrate the care and operation of radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.
+ Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures.
+ Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.
+ Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and radiology students.
+ Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attending periodic in-service programs and participating in professional affiliation sessions.
+ Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
+ Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
+ Current state licensure (RL) required prior to employment
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
+ Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes
+ Can communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients
+ Strong communication skills are essential to provide excellent care to patients and families
+ Can function well in minimal or no direct supervision

Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging with proper patient positioning and radiation safety
