By 1940, the curriculum for the bachelor’s degree had grown to include 54 courses with 74 semester hours of preparatory work, 50 hours of secondary and technical work and 16 hours of electives.

A separate renovation project costing $50 million, with $30 million from the State of Michigan, was launched upon the completion of the G.G. Brown addition in summer 2014.
2014: Ro-Bar Technical Services purchased, expanding footprint to Boise
He retired from the Department in 2015 and became the president of the Central Research and Development Labs at Toyota Motor Company.
The renovation project was completed in summer of 2016.
In 2017, Dawn Tilbury was selected to serve as an NSF Assistant Director and lead the Directorate for Engineering.
