Grand Canyon University is seeking an Athletics Broadcasting Engineer. The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for all university athletics broadcast and livestreaming events. This includes over 150 broadcasts and/or livestreams per year. The Broadcast Engineer will monitor, maintain and perform preventative and repair maintenance on the equipment used. The Engineer will also make recommendations for new equipment and strategies to allow for a better and more efficient Broadcast experience.

What you will do:
Setup, configuration, and operation of all Broadcast or Streaming equipment necessary for any Athletics Broadcast that takes place on campus
Troubleshooting and quick decision making on equipment used and configuration to ensure broadcast will commence without sacrificing quality
Act as a liaison for outside athletics broadcast entities and ensure their needs are met to complete broadcast efforts
Repair and Maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure full functionality. This includes regular maintenance and inventory tracking of equipment
Provide recommendations on new equipment, processes, and standards to improve the live broadcast efforts.
Work closely with producers, directors, camera operators, and IT staff to deliver transmission of reliable broadcasts.
Create and submit tech books to broadcast partner for each live event when applicable
Working knowledge and understanding of workflow for sports-related broadcasts
Requires working nights, weekends, and holidays and in-person presence on game days

Knowledgeable of and ability to accurately interpret applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and daily responsibilities.
Demonstrates good judgment and excellent conflict resolution/mediation skills.
Certifications in CPR, First Aid and First Responder are preferred.
Valid Arizona Driver's license in good standing; must be insurable.
Must successfully pass a drug test.

Grand Canyon University Golf Course is seeking a greenskeeper. The Golf Course Greenkeeper is proficient at most basic course duties including but not limited to hand and machine raking of bunkers, mowing of greens, tees, fairways and roughs, operation of weed eaters, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers.
What you will do:
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift min 50 lbs
Mow tees, fairways, and roughs with ride on equipment.
Hand and machine raking of bunkers.
Ensure that the equipment cooling system is working at all times, refills fuel daily, clean equipment after each use, and report any equipment problems or failures to the Equipment Manager immediately.
Provide basic preventative maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or supervisor and return the equipment to its designated location at the maintenance facility.
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of motorized equipment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Performs all duties to Grand Canyon University Golf Course Maintenance standards.

Grand Canyon University (GCU) maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) by virtue of their charitable programs. The collective mission of 501(c)(3) organizations in the Phoenix Valley is to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve particular problems related to those residents' needs.
GCU maintains a partnership with ZimZam Global located at 1134 E Irma Lane, Phoenix, AZ, 85024. ZimZam Global trains leaders, to plant churches, through discipling children. The CSLP student worker's work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of ZimZam Global; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring). If eligible, CSLP student workers can work during summer (i.e., May - August).
CSLP: This position has been reviewed and approved as Community Service as defined by 34 CFR 675.2(b). Per 34 CFR 675.2(b), community services are defined as, “Services which are designed to improve the quality of life for community residents, particularly low-income individuals, or to solve particular problems related to their need.” These services must be open and accessible to the community.
As an FWS-CSLP approved position, its services will be offered to non-GCU community members (i.e., local residents).

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

Assist with planning and hosting AZ Home Events to connect with new partners and supporters.
Engage in local partner meetings to strengthen community relationships.
Conduct donor research to help grow ZimZam's funding base.
Assist in developing digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email outreach, and event promotions.
Support outreach materials, volunteer coordination, and networking efforts.
Volunteer and assist with Scottsdale Bible Church Shea Campus special needs ministry events.
Other duties as assigned.
