University of Antelope Valley company history timeline

1997

In the winter of 1997, after witnessing what he believed to be too many unnecessary deaths, Los Angeles City Firefighter/Paramedic Marco Johnson, with the blessing of his wife Sandra, began instructing CPR and First Aid courses.

2003

In mid 2003, AVMC acquired an additional satellite classroom: 2997 Desert Road, Suite 6A, Rosamond, CA 93560.

2007

In 2007, the Lancaster campus became home to SOAR High School, which serves approximately 400 ninth through twelfth grade students who concurrently take high school and college-level classes.The college continues to expand and update labs and classrooms to serve students.

2009

In 2009 the school was accredited by the United States Department of Education and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and began granting associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees and became the University of Antelope Valley.

2012

Johnson’s vision was realized in 2012 with the established of UAV Women’s Softball.

2014

In 2014, UAV welcomed Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Cross-Country.

2015

In 2015, AVC awarded a record-setting 2,283 degrees and certificates.

In 2015, UAV Athletics introduced Men's Basketball and Women's Volleyball.

2016

In fall 2016, AVC began offering a bachelor’s program in Airframe Manufacturing Technology, specifically designed for the needs of local aerospace industry employees.

UAV Pioneers Baseball wins 2016 Cal Pac Championship.

2017

UAV Pioneers Baseball captures 2017 Cal Pac Championship.

2018

UAV Pioneers Baseball win 2018 Cal Pac Championship and Earn First Trip to the NAIA World Series.

2019

UAV Men’s Basketball wins 2019 CalPac Basketball Championship.

2022

In 2022, UAV welcome Men’s and Women’s Golf to our athletic programs.
